Canon i9900 printing borderless 8x10

Hello Everyone I am knew to the site, so please point me in the write direction if this has been discussed recently. Is there yet a fix to printing borderless 8x10's on the Canon i9900. Thank you.

You should not have a problem printing 10x8 borderless on your i9900.
Go to preference, page setup and select 10x8 glossy photo paper then tick the borderless printing box and that should see you right ok..

The Hat, thank you for the attempt but with the i9900 once you try to click borderless, the page size goes back to the default 8.5 x 11. I have had the i9900 for years now, and I love the quality of the prints. This has been an issue with out a fix and I was hoping some one with this printer has recently found a fix. Canon has not been willing to upgrade the firmware for this printer to do the trick. Thanks again.

If you turn the printer off and open the cover, you can see a narrow strip of exposed sponge material all along the bottom, with several areas where the opening is widened. This sponge is there to absorb the over spray when printing borderless. The wide gaps are placed at the paper widths that allow borderless printing. Printing borderless at other sizes will create a mess inside the printer.

Why not print an 8x10 on a sheet of 8.5x11 paper and trim it?

The spec. On the i9900 does say it can print a borderless 10x8 photo in 50 seconds, but if that size is not listed in your page setup then you are out of luck.
Youre not alone with issues with Canon; I cant print A5 borderless eider.
