Canon i960 / i860 QM2-0588-000 Paper support unit

I was wondering if anyone knows how to both remove and replace the Canon i960 / i860 QM2-0588-000 Paper support unit.
AKA the titned plastic thing at the back that flips up to hold the sheets upright.

Also, do you have to be careful -do they break easy

Did it myself.
It just bends - I was sure it would crack and break, but it didn't.
Just fit your hand in under it - bend - and hope for the best...
