Canon i960 $119

Just got a flyer from MicroCenter-

they have Canon i960 printers on sale for $119-
this is anextraordinary printer at the clearance price-
my choice among ALL printers now available for photo and general work.

the reason its so cheap is because it's last year's model, and has been discontinued.

Never the less, it seems superior to any current printers made by any of the major manufacturers for dye based inks.

It is also the flagship top of the line model of all the Canon i series printers, save the larger format i9900 and i9000

Neil, What a buy.... mine is too new to want a replacement yet... btw: your politics and mine are eons apart, but I do respect your knowledge about printers, inkjets, and photos.

Is the other forum being abondoned?

Picked up the VERY LAST i960 in the Metro Detroit area for $99.99 at BestBuy.

My S800 had begun to band (clogged printhead right?) and the missus gave me the thumbs up on a new printer.

The s800 cost something like $275 three or so years ago, and I was always pretty pleased with the quality.

Will I see any kind of improvement with the i960?

I just noticed they have the i960's at CompUSA for $99 this week!

It would be tempting if I didn't have an i860 in great condition and 3 new i560's in the garage!
