you should compare features between these models, borderless printing is typically missing on Epson models in this L-model family except with the L8xx photo printers.
When it comes to the printhead - the Epson printhead will last longer, I'm reaching 40000 to 50 000 pages with an L300 , probably 20% full page images, but I'm killing my printers regrettably on my own e.g. with old fungus infected ink , or ink changes which are not compatible with each other and other stupid things.....It's never the printer stopping because of some malfunction, I put them out of order.
But anyway - enjoy the convenience with either one of these printers not to fiddle around with ink for every 10ml refill.

I have lost a half dozen print heads myself for exactly the same reasons, because testing new ideas can work out very cruel, but worth it...
