So, long time canon 100 user here, just decided it was time to surrender. It has been rejuvenated 3 times and this last go around I gave in. Putting her down, I just picked up a new 200 pro. And yes I'm one of those that never pay for OEM ink, I just do not see the difference and $80 compare to $14 is good enough for me.
Looking on the net to my surprise, there is no cheap ink. So I guess Canon finally figured out how to make ink that no one can copy? There is no way I'm going to pay $100 just to print, that stupid I can go to kinko's for that. Is there no option other then return this print for me?
I guess I can get the refills and dreadfully use 100 ink and get crappy results, but man is this disappointing.
Understating full and well that 100-pro ink is not a match ( I saw the results ), will the tank fit and will the chips read, or will the printer just rejects them. I only ask this as I have 100 tanks laying around. Can I replace the chips form a used tank with my old 100-pro to get basic bad color prints. Not everting I do needs to be perfect, I can use the good ink for those.
