I'm currently in the process of launching a home-based screen printing business. I have an epson r2400 inkjet printer. Im looking for ways to operate at the lowest cost possible yet efficiently! I'm looking into purchasing a bulk ink system. I'm only using this particular printer for printing film positives which only require the usage of black dye sublimation ink. Can I filled all slots with the same color ink even though the slots are color coded for magenta, cyan, and yellow?

Yes, if that's what you want to do... You'd still have to pay for black ink though as it will still be wasted during cleaning routines and some of the "colour" black replacement ink will also be used as part of the process anyway.

You might want to look for a clear pigment base (ie: the fluid without the pigment in) and use that instead as it's almost certainly cheaper, but it'd depend entirely on whether anyone has even bothered to sell it.
