Dear Freddy,
I just read your instruction and find it may be the solution for my printer. My model is Brother MFC-255CW, it empolyed LC38 cartridge. I have the similiar problem as Geoffery.... While I am not quite sure where is the exact area that you mentioned as the photosensor or sensor board, can you show me with more details ? Besides, how can I dismantle the particular part of sensor board for cleaning? Can you provide some more hints or photos?
