Does the starter cartridge hold less ink than the regular cartridge?
A regular cartridge prints 200-300 pages, how much does that starter cartridge print?

Hi,

usually the starter cartridges (the ones which come with the printer) contain less ink/toner - 1/2 or 2/3 of the full ink/toner capacity

As Simon mentioned starter cartridges are usually 1/2 full so if you are getting 200-300 pages with a new cartridge a guess would be around 150 pages but finding mL comparisons online are a bit hard to come by these days.
