That’s a real loaded question, because you’re really the only one that can truly answer that correctly.

Each of these printers are much the same as each other and are very good at what they do but it all depend on what market your aiming for, I would gladly use any one of them.

Question:- Why would you want to use dye inks in the 11880 ?

You can turn any piezo pigment ink printer to dye because you can adjust the inks via RIP driver. The nozzles are made to eject different droplets from same nozzle so no surprises there.

With HP, Canon - thermal heads there are dedicated nozzles of certain size only. These are designed for certain ink type DYE or Pigment. While Pigment nozzles tend to be larger and will not clog. But I would recommend EPSON with proper RIP of you choice and ICC profiles, Certification to make sure your workflow is stable and performing optimal.

"Question:- Why would you want to use dye inks in the 11880 ?"

Because it is the best visual result I can achieve

I make some kind of HD Posters. If my number one priority is "Visual strenght" over "Longevity", it is the best choice I can do.
