Hello everyone! Can I use a BCI-6 Photo Magenta instead of a BCI-6 Magenta without damaging my Canon MP780 printer? I ran out of Magenta but I still have one remaining Photo Magenta ink from my old printer which I gave to someone a while ago. Thanks!

Will not damage the printer but the color will be way off. The Photo Magenta is a much lighter shade than the regular Magenta. If you don't care about the resulting shades of red coloring, go for it.

Thanks for the reply. I will use it then since I only print text most of the time.

I remember someone selling me an iP4000 that had been returned because someone had used a PM instead of an M cartridge.. The colours were a dirty brown which looked awful..

Had to laugh at that one. :)
