Ink for this machine is insanely expensive and guess what..I have 3 of them. I've been searching up & down the web to find out if there is a CISS or resettable chips available but no luck so far.

I searched on ebay this morning and found this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-PK-Qualit...6020?pt=US_Ink_Cartridges&hash=item53fbc23b94

Those look the exact same as the primera cartridges. I examined the pic with my cartridges in hand and the only difference is there no Primera labeling.

Has anyone used these or know if they work with the Bravo 4100?

I doubt that they are compatible. The Primera Bravo seems to use Lexmark 100 cartridges but with an added RFID chip under the label. Both HP and Lexmark use this style of cartridges in some of their printer models, I think this style of cartridges was introduced by Canon.

Here is one thread about this printer: http://www.printerknowledge.com/thr...a-bravo-4100-series-disc-printers-by-kg.8070/ and here are some forum search results for "Primera Bravo 4100": http://www.printerknowledge.com/search/41642/?q="Primera Bravo 4100"&t=post&o=date

This looks like good news for the Primera owners. Are the chips traditional chips with terminals or RFID chips? It is hard to tell from the site linked to?

If I had to pay that much for single use chips then I would better hire a hacker to fix the damn thing once and for all IMO.

How would you use the RFID chips? Would you remove any chil on the ink cartridge and replace it with that chip?
