Why pay $34 to have your head cleaned when i960s are going for like $10 at the thrift stores.

I agree. In addition, much of the problems I have with my i950 are apparently (and I only recently was convinced of this) resulting from plugging ink cartridges and NOT the print head itself.

I now am at least partially convinced the cartridges cause problems with the print head eventually, if the symptoms are ignored or are improperly diagnosed.
