Hi, I've been using Inkgrabber.com for a long time but I recently noticed that they raised their prices on ink for the Pixma IP5000. Does anyone of an alternative online vendor that sells ink that is comparable or of better quality to Inkgrabber? Thanks.

I don't know what kind of ink Inkgrabber sells, but alotofthings.com has decent prices on Sensient Imaging Technology, Formulabs Division bulk ink. Their ProColor cartridges are also great for refilling and reasonably priced as are their G & G cartridges. They are currently running a 15 % off coupon special on some of their third party cartridges. Their customer support via email is also quick and responsive.

Hey, thanks for the site, which type do you recommend if I'm not refilling but just buying the third party cartridges? They seem to have G&G, MMC and Pro Color. I think Inkgrabber used G&G but I'm not sure anymore. Thanks

I would recommend getting two sets of the ProColor cartridges See http://www.alotofthings.com/viartshop/products.php?category_id=240 and a 20 ounce 5 color refill kit. See http://www.alotofthings.com/viartshop/product_details.php?category_id=189&item_id=842 . Learn to refill your cartridges. It's easy and cheaper. Look here to see how to refill with the ProColor cartridges - http://www.alotofthings.com/viartshop/article.php?category_id=8&article_id=198&page=

And be sure to check out their 15% off ProColor cartridges at : http://www.alotofthings.com/viartshop/articles.php?category_id=58

You might want to read Neil Slade's site on his favorite G & G cartridges at : http://www.neilslade.com/Papers/inktest.html . He recommends buying them at Inkgrabber, but I think that they are too expensive, and his direct links to the Inkgrabber site make me suspicious that he is receiving royalties for hits he brings to that site. Say it ain't so, Neil.

PS- I'm not affiliated with alotofthings.com in any way. I just think it's a good, reliable company, based upon my experience.

HAPPY HUNTING!

Thanks, I don't think I'll start trying to refill ink just yet. When I find a little more free time, I'll give it a go. Thanks again
