@Nifty You still have a valid question about eco-friendliness. I doubt the article would peel back the veneer too much on this happy story.

On a different note, wouldn't it be cool if the builder left you specs or, better yet, data files to make your own replacement parts for the home with your 3D printer!

I agree they are small but apparently they are flame-proof as per the video and have a number of advantages such as no neighbours below or above to affect you. I wouldn't want one, but neither would I want to live in an apartment, mobile home or condo which have the same size issues. The natives in North America lived in teepees but the world was different then.

Has anyone seen any significant improvement with the printed versions such as cold weather houses?

Years ago I built a 12' geodesic dome by a lake as a cottage. It had amazing acoustics.

(Ooops I goofed. This was supposed to be a reply to The hat's post # 10.)

Yeah things change but they also evolve, plenty of people pay a lot of money to live in modern teepees these days.

They call it Glamping but its still a tent :)

We've been thinking about adding an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) to our property.
That’s awful lot of space to just accommodate one 3D printer room..

Beautiful structures, but dare I say it.. How would they fair out in a good stiff gale…:hu

Great question! I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't stronger than regular "stick" houses since it seems there is so much weight / concrete in them.

We liked the company, but their offerings are just too expensive :(
