Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

So, I hooked up this 1430 yesterday. Today my wife clicked "yes" when the printer asked to update itself. I am, shall we say, less than happy at this time. How bad did this screw me? Will refillable carts / CIS systems still work in it, or am I now locked to OEM units?

Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

I've sent mikling an e-mail, and clicked on the link in his sig, but it links to an incomplete web page that doesn't list ink setups for Epson. Hopefully his reply e-mail will be helpful. Thanks!

Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

My IJF CISS system does not have the chips attached to a removable bar. Each cart has it's own individual chip. My 1430 arrived yesterday...I'd like to put it to use ASAP, but I've read horror stories about using the OEM carts prior to installing 3rd party systems. Some people have stated...

Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

Well, I ordered the 1430 moments ago. I'm still looking for a supplier of reliable 1430 carts. Any help would be appreciated. I'm in the US. Thanks.

Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

Who has / where would I get these V6 individual refillables that will work on the 1430? Will my existing CISS system for the 1400 (inkjetfly) work with the 1430 as well? I plan on going with refillable carts vs the CISS, but I was just wondering.

Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

Just curious...how does the pricing on generic refills compare to the bulk ink? I'm used to using my CISS on my 1400, so I'm kind of using that as a basis. I could try to re-use my CISS on the 1430, but a loose hose is what snagged the carrier on my 1400 and killed it...so I'd like to go to...

Known good supplier of refillable carts for 1430?

I've been unable to locate a replacement 1400, so it looks like I'll be going with a 1430. Inkjetfly says they have CISS system for 1430, but they do not yet have refillable carts for 1430. Are there any vendors that supply known-functional refillable carts for the 1430?

Which printer do I want to replace my recently deceased Epson 1400?

Well, I've been checking the refurb site multiple times daily for the last week or so. No luck so far, though I haven't given up hope yet. However, I'm considering the idea that I may have to move to the 1430. Do we have any suppliers of "known good" refill carts / chips for the 1430?

Which printer do I want to replace my recently deceased Epson 1400?

Wow. Apparently there has been some sort of run on the 1400. I didn't realize it has become so hard to find / expensive. The Epson refurb store is out of stock (that's where I bought the last one), and all the online / eBay prices are ridiculous, compared to what I paid for my last two...

Which printer do I want to replace my recently deceased Epson 1400?

Well, I guess barring any significant reason to go with another make model, I'll pick up another refurb Epson for $179. I know this printer is several years old at this point, so I wanted to see if there was a strong reason to go with another model instead. If there isn't, I'll pick up the...

Which printer do I want to replace my recently deceased Epson 1400?

Title sums it up. My journey with CISS started with my Epson R200. When I burned through a couple of them, I went to the R1400. The R1400 suffered an early death when my one of the tubes on my CISS tubing ribbon came loose, hooked the print cart, and proceeded to strip some gears / something...
