which is irrelevant unless you have a Canon HD camera
If you did need this feature, the mg6120 has it for $130
The black gloss finish on my MG6120 is not gonna last long. The touch sensor buttons are cool though
If I planned it better or found this site before I made my purchase, I would have...
my conversation with ebay reseller below, pics he had in description showed a sealed canon box with no image of carts on front:
certainly doesn't confirm anything and I just can't help but contribute to a good solid conspiracy theory. :hide
Maybe Ron from Reliable Copier service is in on...
I just purchased a gray 221 cartridge from office max last night (southern california)
It was a single cartridge but was still the old style with clear reservoir. The picture on the outside of the box showed the clear set/release tab.
I bought two sets of 221 clear reservoir carts off of ebay...
This is a recently opened box stored in a drawer-- pulled a sheet from the middle of the deck and same thing...
Maybe it was a batch from the end of a production run or something
Glad to know its not normal! This stuff is cheap and its working out well for what I need aside from the dust-- try...
Anyone have any issues with 3 Star HP Everyday Photo Paper??
The ink won't set in certain spots. Looks like dust settling in the ink. I figured there can't be that much dust inside the new printer. Maybe the ink is wet as its coming off and dust settling there. Nope, thats not it...
I check a...
I'm getting ready to print some promo materials for my business-- I will be running about 200 sheets
I'm using a Canon MG6120 printer with oem cartridges (plan on refilling these with image specialists ink) connected to an iMac
I have been playing with Standard vs High quality settings as well...
Efficient is certainly a relative term in this instance-
I see an aluminum cnc'ed jig built to secure the cartridge. It would have a preset hole in the front for proper needle alignment (german method) and fences on the two sides where material would be removed with a specific dremel bit (or...
The purpose of this experiment is to prove canon can not stop people from putting their heads together to find efficient ways to bypass any anti refill measure they can implement
At least thats how i see it!
I would pay more for a factory printer with a relible oem designed refillable or...
PS: since when are Canon cartridges of $15 manufactured in the People's republic of California ??? I thought there are made in the Empire of Japan...
My product is associated with xbox kinect and playstation move-
I know little to nothing about printing, which is why I'm here learning from...
I'm looking at my CLI 226 Black cartridge --
And I'm looking back at this post outlining the German refill method:
http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4315
And I'm realizing that the window on the bottom of the CLI 226 is clearly transparent and exactly the same as CLI 221.and...
Pharmacist:
I have a vintage bicycle generator light that was made in East Germany under the regime-- It is constructed and designed excellent and functions perfect to this day
I certainly agree with what you say-- consider BSA and Triumph motorcycles in the late sixties early seventies...
I love the carnage!
Does anyone have the ability to lay out an approximate estimate of where the needle should enter into the front of the cartridge and where it would have a clean shot to the reservoir? (german method)
the sides of the cartridge are very true- they could be milled slightly...
Hey ghwells,
I went to Damien high school in La Verne--
I had a question for anyone familiar with the German method- are the cartridges built in such a way that you can accurately designate a spot by which the needle would be able to make clean pass into the reservoir? Is the sweet spot the...
My name is Paul-
I'm two weeks out from launching a consumer product in the electronic gaming category geared towards big box retailers.
I've decided to open up a new front in the battle by learning how to print my own marketing media. I have a Canon MG6120 which should tell you I was hasty in...
It seems in recent cli 221 production runs, canon has switched to opaque cartridges exactly the same as CLI 226 with a different chip and label. Avoiding the 226 and opting for 221 based printer would be ok until the supply of older clear 221 cartridges is exhausted.
The switch to opaque 221...
Thanks for the lead- much appreciated
One last question, I read a few threads on flushing
when refilling OEM cartridge (recently emptied but still saturated with original Canon ink) with compatible aftermarket ink, should there be any concerns other than a slight color variation if I forgo the...
