Thanks for your thoughts, Martin, just one comment - I never saw a message saying a cartridge was empty, it was always reported as not recognized,
the same as if it were not in place. More than likely I will put it up on eBay as "for parts" and get what I can out of it. I only paid $25 for it...
Hi everyone, haven't been active here in years, but I would like to ask for assistance here before I give up on an Epson Stylus R380 printer I bought used.
I was looking in the forum history for similar problems and solutions, found similar problems but no solutions.
One of the posts said that...
Hi,, I just had my Canon IP4000 'die' on me - flashing lights error indicating
servicing required, and I saw that HP has a printer out that prints on inkjet
coated CD's and DVD's, and it was on sale for $80, so I went and got one today.
For refilling the color cartridge, I am going to use...
Just got a ML-2010 myself and looking at refills from various sellers. One of them states
"Simple instructions show where the existing factory fill hole is located. This hole can be
used to refill the cartridge easily. Only a screwdriver and/or pliers are needed to remove
the fill hole plug...
I went right to work making a cardboard CD-R tray (using instructions on "5 easy steps" site),
got the CD printing software and installed it, changed the firmware settings, patched the registry,
restarted, and now have printed my first sample CD, it was badly off center but it worked,
so I am...
Thanks for the heads up, I had already discovered the Fatwallet thread last night, I'll be checking my area stores to see if any are available, sure hope so. I'm giving up on the S600, I've lost half of the yellow as well as the cyan.
Update: I got my IP4000! Went to the nearest Staples after...
Well, I lost even more of the cyan nozzles, now block B is vertical bars, but
the funny thing is, I can print a photo onto glossy paper, and except for a magenta
tint, it looks fine - no evidence of banding. Ditto for photos on plain paper, and text
printing in color. I am puzzled at how this...
I had an idea about how to clean ink tanks without all the plumbing, and without
a cartridge clip. This is an easy do-it-yourself project.
You'll need a 10 ml syringe (no needle) and the orange cap that comes with each new tank.
Note that on the outside of the cap (across from where the silicone...
I was suspecting that myself, I guess I'll go shopping for a Pixma printer so I can print CD's & DVD's - I was tempted to get one anyway when I found out here that it could be modified to do this.
I have turned up a refurbished IP4000 at Digitally Unique for $77.95 - comments anyone? Looks like...
I have a very stubborn head clog on the cyan color, that is not responding
to attempts to unclog it. When I print a nozzle check pattern, the top part
of every other row is not printing. Underneath the grids that are printed out
in each color are blocks labeled A through H. The "B" block looks...
I'd like to throw in my 2 cents on this discussion. I like the idea of using O-rings and sheet metal screws to seal the opening, but it seems a bit big relative to the cartridge size. Here is my idea about that:
You could salvage small screws from electronic devices (CD-ROM drives, boomboxes...
