I did some 8550 matte profiles that went ... blue.
With the VFA setting you can get it to print with the Pigment black.

The general problem is doubtless ugly; when some parameters are roughly known by the factory, I guess you get some results which are sufficient for most people's use. Think of the scanner as a digital camera with some added lights.
If you're truly desperate, you can make a color target made out...
I don't know whether this is relevant, but Xrite's ColorPort and Babelcolor's Patchtool are two GUI programs which many color consultants used for years to create targets. I think both are free or abandonware these days. Patchtool in particular could read color out of targets, rearrange the...
Ink sometimes gets dragged downwards by rollers; I now think randomizing is a good idea, although I prefer to look at targets by eye to assess the inking and there sequential ramps help.

- I tried to print some tests, and the printer switched from MK to PK, but no leaks.
- After a few days, all the nozzles came back except sporadic pieces...
In another life I was a color consultant. Now I am just a poor amateur photographer whose only working printer is an HP laser :)
Actually I am just getting back into photo-related stuff again, and this seems to be one of the most knowledgeable communities when it comes to printing.
I hope to...
Hi,
I got a Canon G650 to make glossy prints. It made wonderful glossy prints with Kodak paper, but it kept making blurred vertical black streaks/fuzzy shaded zones all down the page..
The shop had one look at the prints and took it back; I'm wondering if this was a generic issue or if I can...
