YES. I had to buy a new (ikea) Bror roltafel. Moved my already big also ikea desk about 20cm to make space for th monster.
And it is a very loud printer. But all of these I was used to with my Canon IPF 5100. 😜
Hallo Apotheker,
Weer een poosje geleden. ( back to English)
After many serious troubles with my P900 many headstrikes and paper load and travel issues.
I have decided to get a divorce 😢
So I’m now in joyful expectation of my new bought of the much bigger and sturdier brother the P5300...
Hello,
I'm a fan of non OBA papers to print my photo's.
Luckily i own a 'efi es-2000' OEM X-Rite i1-pro2. So it can measure the whole-ish light spectrum visible and UV. with M-0-1-2 modes.
Now my question: How to set the -i and/or -f parameters in the ArgyllCMS colprof command?
For paper...
Have you seen a Bambu non x1c from the inside? Two steel tubes with bearings for the x-as (the X1c this is carbon.) And bamboo has also a steel frame! For stiffness.
Last thing about this topic. Btw. I never owned a Prusa. But several slingers and Corey’s. And I was and still happy with the...
Hoi Apotheker,
You need another 2 pieces for your 3D environment.
You bought the filament dryer. But that only effective to dry you filament. After that you need to store the filament in a dry box. Otherwise you dried your filament for nothing than the electricity cost.
You have to make...
@Redbrickman agree.
Orca slicer is the one to go now a days. And now the only one for my X1c. In lan only mode.
Fusion 360 is a mixed feeling. On windows works ok I presume. But on my Mac I had many issues. And the fact that it is cloud based. And the many outages lately. Makes it less...
I’m from the Netherlands. And yes I bought a lot of stuff from them. But on filament are they not the cheapest. Compared sunlu and the Chinese shops on ali or via there own sites. Only when I need filament fast. Then comes 123 in the picture.
@parmacist now you have to learn 3d modeling. A...
Creality is a well known chinese company. And has grown in quality after the boom of bambulabs.
They tend to work as designed. But my experience is that in the long run they wear faster.
But for a first 3d printer I think this is the better choice. Also because a Core xy have a beter surface...
Sure there are flaws. When the 4 came out there were flaws too! But the benefit of a trustworthy company is that they have a high customer support. Prusa can’t afford not to support there customers. All printers when they are new have issues. And a good company solve those issues.
Most of them...
Hi apotheker,
I think you make a good choice. I is not the fastest but it runs like a tank. AND prusa is famous for the upgrade sets for older models. There is an upgrade from the mk4 to the core one!
There are several Chinese filament providers. Momentarily I use Petg from sunlu. But I advise...
Here is something to read!
https://makezine.com/article/maker-news/why-is-open-source-hardware-not-working-for-3d-printers/
That’s why I go for voron or prusa! The only two real open source 3D printer designers. I choose for open and not closed. We have seen it with Bambulabs and All the other...
Why did it take so long? Because manipulate 70+ kg in a tiny space in the attic on my own. Is a heavy task.
If it was for the faulty parts! Then it was a simple job. Replace the two print heads (in a Canon professional printer) the are end user replaceable. But for printer 10+ years old and out...
Perhaps you should buy a new one. And dismantle your old one.
A new one cost you around €230,— and probably cheaper than buying spare parts. And the time to find the problem part(s).
And I hope you made photos of your current dismantling phase. Then you have for the future lubricating your...
Warning! This reaction is not for the faint of heart.
No I did not asked about printing profiles with Qimage. I ask if the maker of the profile.tif has edited the tiff with Qimage! And if you read the threat a bit better. You also read that I in a previous post in this thread acpu mentioned...
Yes i know all these articles. I'm walk already a long time in the printer world.
The real problem back then was; that suddenly no body could make a 'good' profile any more! becouse adobe decided that printing without colormanagement was equal as printing with srgb! so all the profiles made...
@pharmacist As mentioned in a previous reply. I had the spyderprint back in 2007 way before Adobe changed the world of profiling! :)
Now i own the xrite i1 Studio (colormunki) for years. After the first original colormunki broke its usb port. Still waiting to repair 🤔
And for a month now the...
You're right but i'm mention using spiderprint in 2007 when the canon ipf-5100 was introduced! ;)
And it was in service until 2020 it was died at loneliness during covid. And after my wife's death. (not covid related).
Then you could make reasonable good affordable profiles with spyderprint...
I’ll try to explain :)
You’re by ArgyllCMS created 875-target.tif is normally without any text. Yours have text on it where we can write extra meta data about the target. It looks like you have a template where you paste the target in.
The removal of the 'print without colormanagment' by...
Yes @pharmacist i’m also like 3D printers.
I don’t know if you already own a new 3d-printers?
But here is my 50 pence advice :)
I’m a long time 3d-printer enthusiast. Started 10 years ago with a cheap Chinese prusa like bed slinger. Most of the time you’re busy to keep the printer in shape...
