(G2010) Is this print head a goner?

Canon replaced the CH-7 Head today and Colour print is back to the same quality as day 1. There is a slight colour tint but thats because of a different paper shade.

(G2010) Is this print head a goner?

Looks like the old head got damaged by overheating. I had to shell out 14.99 for a new head which Canon Service Representative will install tomorrow. I hope this lasts longer. Btw what did you mean by well past it's sell by date?

(G2010) Is this print head a goner?

This is what my printer test print looks like now. A few weeks back the printer gave a P08/5200 error on my G2010 and yesterday both magenta and yellow stopped printing. I tried a Deep Clean and rested the printer overnight but it didn't solve the issue. P08 as per Google means head overheat...

Magenta Ink becoming brownish after few days (Canon G2010)

I have a nearly two year old Canon G2010 and I am facing some issues with the magenta colour. One fine day while printing I see that the Magenta was not printing correctly and was kinda brownish hue. I checked my tanks and supply line and all were full. I did a deep clean and kept it aside for...

Ink smudge on backside of paper Canon G2010

Whenever I do fast and large volume printing the ink smudges on backside (non-printing) of paper. This mostly happens when photocopying multiple copies of the same thing like say 10 copies of a business card. The paper I use is 70gsm paper from a known brand of paper manufacturer in India. I...

Printer stopped printing Magenta. Black also not clean and has white line in test

And now my Cyan is gone :he At this point I think it might be printer head/something wrong inside the cartridge as Ink Tubes are all full. Looks like Canon Service it is. Edit: NVM, it came back after a cleaning.

Printer stopped printing Magenta. Black also not clean and has white line in test

In my case I think the magenta part was dried out or clogged heavily as it wasn't printing even a single speck and printer was idle for a week or two and there might have been air in the magenta tube. My local Canon service station suggested A deepclean followed by ink flush but since deepclean...

Printer stopped printing Magenta. Black also not clean and has white line in test

Thanks, this clears up many of the doubts. Never knew that Canon Inks had some sort of cleaning agent in them that needed 24hours to sort the issue out, so I did twice at midnight and another two deep cleaning in the morning. I always had slight air bubble issue in my printer, maybe the...

Canon G5050 - waste ink kit install [Feedback Pls]

Exactly, I am also facing the same issue. Mine is a Pixma G2010. I have to print every week or else the ink tubes get full of air and the nozzles then clog up. Now I am thinking of selling off this printer and getting a Laser or Cartridge based printer as the headache I am getting with this...

Printer stopped printing Magenta. Black also not clean and has white line in test

Normal head clean didn't solve the issue sadly, so had to resort to deep clean. Btw 2 of them Deep Cleans were today at 1AM and 2 were today at 11AM. Will keep it in mind next time not to do frequent Deep Cleans.

Printer stopped printing Magenta. Black also not clean and has white line in test

Hi, I have a Pixma G2010 and suddenly after a week or so it stopped printing Magenta colour (Not even a micro dot of magenta), the black colour also has a white line of some sort as per the nozzle print page but that maybe because of the no magenta colour. I have attached nozzle test of FEB 2023...

Photo printouts from G2010 turn green after a month

Are the GI-73 inks same as GI-53? GI-53's are not available in my country. GI-550/650 is also not available here. Instead a GI-570/670 is available. The Pixma G570 uses GI-73 here.

Photo printouts from G2010 turn green after a month

Hi, Why do my photo prints from G2010 become green after a month of printing? This never happened with my Canon E510 Printer. I printed some photos using my EOS 600D and stuck them on my wall and all turned green after a month or less. They are never exposed to sunlight. I use Kodak 200GSM...

Nozzle Check quality different in Printer vs Windows

True. Even after flushing the black tube empty and then refilling with ink it still developed bubbles after a week or so. Their QC in the Vietnam plant is not so good if you ask me. Saw some reviews where the rubber stopper on the inktank was missing. Only thing that made me take a Canon is...

Nozzle Check quality different in Printer vs Windows

To be honest I should have researched before getting an inktank. The maintenance and all other things are a real pain for a lazy person like me. The older E510 doesn't have anymore replacement supplies and refilling doesn't work that well for it so had to take this one as this one was the only...

Nozzle Check quality different in Printer vs Windows

Hi, Can anyone please tell me why the Nozzle check quality is lower when printed from Printer control panel vs when Printed from Windows? The black grids are not clean lines in Printer Control Panel Print, whereas they are clean in the Windows Print. If anyone wants the full res images I can...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Btw guys. How safe is the using a medical syringe method to suck back ink through the delivery tubes? The process uses a syringe which is attached where the CISS meets the cartridge and ink is pulled through the tubes using the suction of the syringe. There is a certain lock and unlock process...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

@Ink stained Fingers @The Hat @websnail Just posting an update regarding the air bubble issue. Looks like the problem was indeed caused by moving the printer and sloshing of ink in the cartridge causing an air leak. As a result of this the ink moved back into the ink tubes from the cartridge...
