Hello guys, Sorry for late.
It is a computer generated image. Starting with this moment I will generate my images at 720ppi (I was planning to have it at 1440 but as we see Epson does not consider such resolution).
I've opened this thread because I was confused about maximum inkjet printer...
Please do not go in circles. I think we've done here. Unless a famous forger comes and says: " Hey, we have a better driver, what resolution you said, 1440? No problem."
Hello @stratman
The small pixel budget: I need to pack a lot of information in very small clusters. Like Icons or micro-printing I need to put maximum detail with the smallest amount of pixels. Each 3d pixel should have more pixels. In the end there will be a huge amount of them...
Hello @maximilian59
I know the maximum resolution of my printer it is 720. I would like to know it your Canon does better. I am in a denial at moment :) I hope I can find something bette. Right now I am looking maybe there is something to unlock some printer hidden capabilities. I have sent a...
@The Hat
Indeed I do not fully understand what are the current inkjet capabilities and how it works. I still believe they are more capable than perform.
The image I have provided is twice larger than printer can accept (4 times more pixels per inch).
If you open it in Photoshop and...
@Ink stained Fingers You are right. There is no 1440 (whatever we call it). The printer knows only about 720 pipi image and whatever I send to the printer it downsamples the image to a 720x720 ppi. I have done a lot of printing tests last days and I know for sure than my model (epson 1500w) is...
Thank you @The Hat for the printing test. I would like to see how it behaves at 100%. A 4,28 cm wide print, 2400ppi printed at 2400 dpi( if the printer can) or a 8.57 cm wide 1200ppi printed an 1200 dpi. I hope at least 1200dpi look good. I'd like to see if Canon has similar issues as...
@maximilian59 Thank you! Realy important information to me, understanding limits. When I have started my project I was expecting that by the moment I will end it we'll have some resolution at diffraction limit but after 5 years I have exactly the same printer and I am about to buy another one...
I have no epxerience using rip software. But I have a great interest at some point for adding more colors and to extend the gamut. I am also interested for droplet delay solution (similar to printhead alignment and bidirectional printing). Not sure if a rip software can do this or any software...
Yes
I have not made any precise measurements. Indeed 1.5 and 3.5 pl droplet have a comparable radius but not the splash diameter. I will make some precise measurements soon. I have just started. I decided to pic the smallest water (dye) droplet I can find with the most precise positioning and...
@stratman
Yes, it is a sort of holograms. very large ones (like 2x1.2 m). Forgers won't appreciate this.
I can not use vectors. I render my images/paterns I a 3d software. I am using Photoshjop only for prepress and some time for color corection (I print from Photoshop). I use Nearest neighbor...
@The Hat
Thank you for printing my images. I knew you have Canons and I really hoped you'll print them. Thanks.
The images are very small on the page. One is 4.28 wide printed with Canon at 2400dpi and the second is 8.57 cm at 1200dpi. I am curious when you printed them without scaling, at...
@maximilian59
I do not enlarge the image. I create it at "native" resolution. Precisely with one pixel per dot.
Curently I need 1440 dpi. I need much more but this is the maximum Epson say they can print.
In may tests 1440 is the highest resolution that makes a difference. Of course it does't...
I am working on a lenticular project since 2016.
This is what it should look like
I need to print at highest possible resolution regardless of speed or cost. I have already created the optical device and now I am looking to find a solution to print it. I prepare to do some tests with other...
