I used one brand of cheaper (recycled) cartridges although I now realise that buying a stock of them was silly as the inks can cause problems if out of date.
I can see an option for Head cleaning on the printer but no other cleaning option.

I found the printer properties maintenance options.
I didn't see anything referring to a cleaning cycle or intense cleaning, but I did click on nozzle check (last time I selected this on the printer) .
