    Epson 1500W

Make sure you buy new. Refurbs are risky. Alibaba or Aliexpress might be ok - check seller feedback. Often, the new heads are removed from (new) dismantled printers, if they guarantee that, should be ok. Give your pinter a full hydraulic clean (make sure lines flow cleanly). If not, a fine...

How to Schedule a nozzle check/test print in OSX.

5 months? That would waste a lot of ink. What I would do with mine (Epson L1800) is remove the prinheads, flush with RO water or suitable head cleaner, blow out and leave dry till I need to use it again. Computer off, printer off. (I Have found that some solvents can dissolve the guts of the...

    Best printer for hardware experiments?

This lot (http://ufoprinter.com) make a flatbed base for the A3+ Epsons like the L1800. I have a similar base made by another Co which I think has 'gone'. ;-( Epsons seem to be pretty versatile - I use an ecosolvent ink in mine which prints quite well on hard (white) plastics such as ABS. But...

Epson R3000: dreaded PK ink globs on paper

This may not be your problem, pharma, but I have found that with the Epson L series, if the plugs are not pushed down hard into the fill ports on the ink tanks, after filling, they may not seal, then it is not uncommon to find splotches on your work. If using carts, make sure any plugs are...

    CLI-42 cleaning fluid

I would guess you guys are all talking about for water based inks. What about e.g solvents for cleaning ecosolvent ink printheads? TIA from Thailand.

    Epson L210 won't!

Thanks all, but still no print - but it does appear to be an electronic / software problem. Test print, head check, print anything, not one pixel! iWIC status report shows ??? Also, have deleted & updated firmware, just same version etc as before Grateful for any insights / advice! Stuart.

A Real Cool Upgrade to Improve your 3D Printing...

LCD Temperature Sensor This fan or that fan is largely irrelevant. Just get one of these boys (a few $) & locate the sensor ACAP (As Close As Possible) to extruder, etc. Then you can change fans till the cows come home, & if all else is the same, you can rate the fans performance, & also find...

    Epson L210 won't!

Thanks ISF. I bled all colours a couple of days ago, except yellow as it was fine. This was the test at the start - (two runs shown here together, 2nd one is the lower) so you can see it was not too bad - actually close to good. But now it is exactly zero! Not one jet firing! Very unlikely to...

    Epson L210 won't!

Thanks, ISF. These are the screen shots that seem to be relevant. Test print - goes through all the motions, but prints absolutely nothing - not a single jet firing. All 4 tanks have ink, minimum is abt 8 mm above 'low' mark. Not sure why iWIC is showing all colours 'UNAVAILABLE' ??? Have run...

    Epson L210 won't!

I scored an Epson L210 from a friend. Low milage, (just over 1,000 pages) & was looking forward to putting it to work. Test print was 80 - 90 % good so I ran a couple of test cycles. No improvement. So I decided to bleed the tubes -black, magenta and cyan. Yellow was printing fine, so did not...

Vinyl and ink will not dry.

I had this happen after I fitted a new CISS - the ecosolvent ink sucked the plasticiser out of the CISS tubes (PVC, I think), then it would not dry on ABS. Problem would go away slowly - then the tubes got hard, cracked, broke, ink everywhere ;-( Have not had the problem since changing printer...

    L1800 - ecosolvent - new printhead???

Hi Derrick, yes I think the L1800 should be ok for eco solvent. The pipes have no problem (Not like the pipes supplied with aftermarket CISS systems - NEVER use these with ecosolvent ink. What material are you printing on? Sometimes I get what looks like a printhead clog - just total failure...

L1800 - all ok, but not printing

OK it looks like the problem is fixed. It seems that if a bad printhead is connected to a good mainboard, it can burn out the main board. So change to a new (good) printhead, it wont print either. Hence have 7 mainboards, uncountable printheads. Solution; new mainboard and printhead. Just...

L1800 - all ok, but not printing

Ink supply is fine, as I have external drain bottle I can see the ink flowing when the heads are cleaned. Engineers came but could not help; said that bad heads can burn out the main board. So only solution (is?) to replace both at one time - ;-(
