Haven't started yet. Am still collecting OEM (some XL, some "standard") CLI-271/PGBK-270 cartridges. Have about 30 now. I did contact Octoinkjet just today to see how they are coming along with products for the PIXMA MG7720 printer and associated (ink) products and haven't heard back yet. May...

Nothing, the picture is a photoshopped training tool that we used in accident investigation school. The parts and pieces were strategically placed and you'll notice there is no damage to the pool, garbage can, the fence, the barn, etc. And the N# has been photoshopped so as to be a non-existent...

No. Don't think so. And since the incident the other day when he landed on a taxiway over the top of an American waiting for takeoff I would suspect that his flying days are numbered. The FAA (a former employer) has NO sense of humor and doesn't care the about a person's star power. I suspect...

    Florida MG7720 Print problem...

Don't think so. I'm having enough trouble trying to get a handle on refilling my CLI-271s and PGBK-270 carts. I thought I knew everything I needed to know until I discovered the "Draining a Canon cartridge" thread in this forum. Do I need to flush and drain my empty carts?

Landing in a backyard is always possible provided one has enough "backyard" to do so. Landing in between a pool and a barn however can make a subsequent departure problematic. Especially when your left wing has disappeared and your right wing is in need of some repair.

    Florida MG7720 Print problem...

Not always. In the case of the Witchita State accident it was pretty clear why the accident happened. The crew made a very wrong decision to go on a sightseeing flight in the mountains west of Denver. Operating the aircraft at too low an altitude, in a high density altitude environment, over...

Might be kind of fun, save a buck or two and get to know more about inkjet printers. I load my own shotshells for similar reasons. Save a few bucks, control the weight and size shot that goes into the hulls, etc. Best

Nice of you to forward that on to your uncle. There's a group of alumni, family, friends and others who make a periodic trek to the crash site to remember those who died or were injured in the accident. They make short speeches, lay some flowers and view the wreckage that still remains. There's...

    Florida MG7720 Print problem...

Ha ha, so one might think. By the way, in furtherance of our discussion concerning Canon CLI-271 and PGBK-270 cartridges, I emailed OctoInkjet yesterday and asked the following: I live in the U.S. and have a new Canon MG7720 printer that uses Canon CLI-271 and PGBK-270 cartridges. Does...

Another similar accident happened earlier in 1970. Take a look at the Wichita State University football team plane crash on October 2, 1970. A chartered Martin 404 airplane crashed into a mountain eight miles west of Silver Plume. Near the construction site where the Eisenhower tunnels for...

    Florida MG7720 Print problem...

I contacted Canon by phone and email and asked some questions about the capacity/differences of the Setup, Standard and XL CLI-271/PGBK-270. I got the same information back from both the person I talked to on the phone and the person who emailed me. What they said was... "Regarding the...

Thanks for the advice. You're right. The OEM carts are black plastic. Can't see anything on the inside. Just for the heck of it I used my Dremel tool and disassembled one (Cyan) last evening. Interesting. If I decide to refill the OEMs then I will use the Dremel to remove the plastic plug in the...

I love birch bark..... But am more into aluminum... That siad, I noticed on a lot of websites as well as Amazon, Ebay, etc. that there are lot of refillable aftermarket cartridges with auto reset chips. Do you have any experience using those and do you think that's a viable alternative...

Thanks for the links. Very helpful. Interesting that all the chip resetters I've seen have a limit on the number of refills, usually 100 or so it seems. No, I am not a member of ye Anciente and Secret Order of Quiet Birdmen. I was invited to a meeting one time (very secretive crowd) but was...
