Cool print... but definitely a frustrating situation!

    I Used AI to Build a Flat-Pack 3D-Printed Crate

I had an idea for a practical little crate for organizing project supplies in my garage: make the base and all four walls print flat, then assemble them with filament instead of hinges. I could not find quite what I had in mind, so I tried using AI as a hands-on design collaborator. The...

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

    What Are You Printing Today?

I gave into temptation and bought 10 rolls of Elegoo Rapid PLA Plus Filament Black: https://us.elegoo.com/products/rapid-pla-plus-filament-1-75mm-black-10kg-1?variant=44907612340405 Reviews online were pretty good and the price was phenomenal. I've been relatively happy with their filament...

    What Are You Printing Today?

This is fantastic! I love these practical prints. The very vast majority of the prints that I make are practical and often fixes to things around the house. That said, I saw a model that I just had to print using thermo temperature-sensitive filament...

    What Are You Printing Today?

Brilliant ! Did you use PLA ?? I've been really happy with TPU for stuff like that because it's so durable and gives a little bit of flex

    What Are You Printing Today?

WOW, I'm surprised I haven't posted to this thread in forever! Today's print = Sprinkler timer cover: This timer has a screen and rubber buttons sitting in the super hot / UV sun all day. I figured I should protect it. So, I modeled this up and it fits perfectly! I printed it out of PLA and...

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

Agreed, most likely a bad batch. I'll admit that I have some rolls of PLA that are pretty old (still in the vac sealed and in temp-controlled cabinet)... but I'm sure that some of them were brittle relatively soon after I got them.

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

Sorry @Tony4597 I didn't see your reply. yes, it's completely acting like that where it snaps when bent. ... But I am almost positive it's not moisture related, at least not in a way that I can fix. I have done tremendously long dehydration cycles and processes with this filament and it...

    Something New !

Wow, those are beautiful! I completely understand your hesitation to not take the mower to them. My other half is also considerably green-fingered! Here's some of her flower work:

What 3D printing project are you working on today?

We have baby chicks and the mason-jar feeder just isn't cutting it... especially because you have to fill it up and then quickly invert it, and you lose a ton of volume doing so So I took a much larger container that I can fill from the top. :) Here's what I came up with. I down - resized...

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

I've never had success drying filament that is brittle and it becoming less brittle. From the research I've done there are a few other things that can cause filament to get brittle that are independent of moisture and humidity. I end up tossing some of the filament but there is some that is...

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

One of the main reasons I got the H2S is because of the huge print bed and that it's an enclosed printer. Using multiple colors was kind of a side bonus. Yep, same for me too. In fact I just finished a project where I did multi-colors per layer like you have in your great examples and it...

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

So I found myself a little less excited about using my H2S... Mostly because of the AMS and dealing with managing the filament, especially any that is even a TINY bit brittle. I've already had a few scares and problems where I had to dismantle things to pull out tiny broken pieces of filament...

    EufyMake E1 - Refill Ink

I remember when this printer came out. I don't know a ton about it, but from what I understand, it's kind of a mix of inkjet printer and resin printer together. Pretty cool to see how far technology has come, but we still need the hack ink cartridges to let us refill them. LOL!
