I have no idea....but you could try searching your past email correspondence and/or Google UK ink refills and maybe one of the hits will ring a bell.
Waving back from across the pond :D
Yeah, it's like free hardware and rebate check when you buy ink.
The rebate comes in when/if you resell the hardware :)
The Gillette business model gone wild.
This could be one of the last mainstream deals on this entry-level CLI-8 printer. Beats the (#*$*@) out of the typical tri-color cart printer that is omnipresent at this price point...
Sounds like they could be drying out.
Keep them sealed airtight if they are kept in the spent state waiting to be refilled.
Have you tried purging (flushing) these carts before refilling ?
Newegg is the premier electronics estore in the US and very trustworthy. They are a model for up and coming esellers. Check Resellerratings as recommended before dealing with any seller unknown to you.
It sounds to me that the Newegg respondents you've dealt with are giving you their...
Yes, this is typical for a refurb that is handled "in-house" by Newegg. Fair enough.
Again, typical for most all items....they want to sell accessories...can't blame them for trying.
This would be an assumption.
Whomever responded to your query was apparently not informed.
1. These are Canon...
Nothing special about those deals when the egg is selling at this price :

Shipping was $11.00 to my location
As soon as I have a spent cart, I rubberband the orange stopper back on, tape (blue masking) over the top vent and seal in a ZipLock baggie. I use the "snack size", burp and rubberband that tightly, as well.
So far this has been keeping my empties fresh and ready fo refilling.
Hobbicolors ships to Europe from their base in California....very good ink for Canons available from their eBay store.
Also Precision Colors based in Canada and using Image Specialists inks may be able to ship to Europe.
Nice work :)
Try heating the 1/2" tubing with a hair dryer and then push it onto the larger cart exit port while it is pliable.
You should only need one hole on top. I place mine above the reservoir and make it 1/8" dia so Hobbicolors 1/8" silicone plugs will fit correctly. No more tapping and...
Any identifiable Canon label remnants on these carts ?
I suppose in theory, it could be an aftermarket cart with a Canon chip installed on it.
Canon carts feature a reliable two-stage foam section that the aftermarket folks have not been able to duplicate and also the (top) venting system is...
Sorry, I thought that ink was mentioned in the thread.
Here's another link on the subject that mentions inks.
The author prefers Canons, so please don't be put off.

Never use pigment ink on printable disks. They are designed for dye-based inks.
TY Watershield and Verbatim AquaAce are the two best printable disks available and give excellent results with dye-based inks.

That MP810 looks interesting.....nah, I'll have an appointment with a cast iron frying pan if I buy any more printers :o
Silicone plugs are available from PrecisionColors (the larger size, 5/32", for the original fill port) and Hobbicolors (the smaller size, 1/8", for a hole that you make).
They sometimes only come as part of a kit, so be prepared to buy ink if you want these plugs.
