I am a life long Epson user and have been buying large cartridges of the same inks. Way cheaper. The larger cartridges like the PFI-1000 used in the canon imageprograf pro 1000 have no sponge. I have never found a sponge in 50ml on up but I buy 150ml on up to 700ml. Ink Stained Fingers comment...
