I checked with a spirit level and it was center I think when I placed the level on the scanner glass bed as it was the flattest surface. The top plastic lid was not flat and the control panel was also sloping down so the levels didn't work properly there and showed non level readings.
And the...
Thanks for link. Cleared most things up. Also saw a very old post saying that the flap flap motion of the tubes can create bubbles.
The 3010 just suddenly lost all its ink. The last thing he did was just elevate the printer a littlebit on a stand so that he can keep the papers underneath.
For...
Why is it that the Canon InkTank models for home use like Pixma G1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx always suffer from Air in the Ink delivery tubes?
Is there any particular reason for this to happen and why Canon doesn't do anything for this.
In the case of my 1week old Pixma G2010 which had a minor pressure...
So far the bubble stays there only and doesn't move even after pressing the tube on that part a bit with my finger nail so that won't bother me that much. The ink still flows and it might just be a bubble from the tank.
Hi, @Ink stained Fingers . The Cyan tube has a very small bubble in it. Not an ink gap in the tube but a very small bubble.
Looks like the small bubbles in Inktank had found their way into the tubes
So its not an error on Canon's part lol. Used the printer for quite sometime with around 10-15 prints and the ink tube is still solid black.
Opening the stopper for sure caused a pressure/vacuum drop which caused air to enter from the cartridge end as the seal on that part is weaker and just a...
My brother has a G3010 (the wireless version of mine). He also had this issue without any reason after few months. For him it was much drastic, the ink tubes (C,M and BK) were nearly empty with small specks of ink in the tube (meaning it was empty from the cartridge end to the tank end). He had...
I did nothing that would have made the ink go back. Yesterday I had moved the printer a little bit (maybe a few cm's) to install a nylon dust cover on top of it but that shouldn't have made the black tube to lose ink. The last time I printed was day before yesterday.
Got a good scare today lol.
The ink from the Black tube had gone back.
Was thinking of doing an Ink Flush and was pissed that this happened to a 5day old printer.
Searched the internet for nearly an hour and everyone suggested an ink flush.
Decided to call Canon Authorised Service tech and he...
The Color inks may be same but will the Black pigment inks be the same? There is a Gi-71 that I bought for refilling my old PG-88 cartridge but @The Hat said that they are Matte Pigment Black and mine are Photo Pigment Black (Gi-790).
Hi,
I had posted previously about my old Canon Pixma E510 whose cartridge had run out and spares were not available. I had refilled it and unfortunately the black is working but the colour cartridge stopped printing blue and magenta.
So I had to get a new printer that has an InkTank built in and...
One more thing. Are different Canon Inkjet Pigment bottles the same quality of ink?
I am talking about Gi-790 and Gi-71 PGBK Pigment Inks. Both are pigment and both are 135ml bottles with different nozzles/spouts.
The Gi-790 has a male spout and the Gi-71 had a female spout.
Thanks for the quick answers.
The issue I previously faced with Dye based refills were that the Printhead always got damaged after a month or so after refilling, so thought that will give the pigment ink a try this time as cartridge is originally pigment based and someone said that mixing the...
Hello,
I have a 5year old Canon Pixma E510.
I use this printer just for home prints occasionally (10ish pages weekly). My current ink cartridge has around 20% ink left and since this is a old model there are no OEM replacement cartridges available anymore.
I am used to refill the colour...
