I wouldn't expect some ink to be perfect, but suiting the requirements and I would not expect technical problems with the inks in discussion, the Canon GX... series printers and printers like the TC20/21 work with very similar droplet sizes, so the physics to get the ink droplet onto the paper...
The 'Canon TC20/21 - same with the Epson TC3100(X) - are not advertised as photo printers at all, so there is no reason for Canon to run such printer with inks from higher end photo pinters with more colors. There are other parameters for an ink running for office type applications - and not...
I could assume that there are some hidden parameters in a PDF file which may cause the print this way or another way - e.g. is a text with embedded images may store the complete document in an image format and would not separate images and text, and it could be that a hidden default icc profile...
It's as well with borderless printing on copy paper that the printer switches from the pigment black to the dye black ink, this prevents the build-up of pigment residue from overprint at the borders of the paper.
all colors of the GI-56 inks for the GX.... series printers are pigment inks

I don't see a reason why Canon would hide Lucia inks and not telling you the benifits of that ink: I tather would assume that the TC-21 inks PFI-050 are closer in properties to the GI-56 135ml bottled inks of the GX series office oriented printers. But it's up to you to use other inks in a...
The 8700 uses ink cartridges, and Epson does not recommend anything different to these cartridges - specifically no refill with any ink and not with the 107 inks for and Ecotankprinter.
It's always your decision which ink you select and use for refill, and the 107 inks are most likely a good...
I did 1 part yellow and 2 parts magenta for a red on a P400 printer, and 2 parts yellow and 1 part magenta for an orange which got me pretty close to the original inks.
More punch ? no - whatever it means - mixing cmy together will create a partial gray + some color, but you cannot improve...
No, you cannot make such general statements that a pigment ink always delivers a better black, it's always a matter of the ink and paper - the coating - combination how that performs together.
The ET-7750 with the 105 black was designed as a multi-purpose printer with good performance - a...
I would not replace the 106 dye black with the 105 pigment black (matte) unless you print 100% just on matte papers, copy papers and alike; there is only one black ink channel on your XP-15000.
I did not test fading of pigment inks.
You probably have air in the tubes, connect a tube to the damper and pull ink via the damper outlet with a syringe and re-insert the damper(s) into the carriage.
No, there is no verification print after you enter the correction values and finish/close the alignment job.
When you start the alignment job again it starts from the uncorrected status. It just may display your last entries. So don't go into an endless iterative cycle.
The scanner of a GX... printer is not supported at this time as I read Mike's comment in his forum
https://www.ddisoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=72&sid=08247afb040558a7e872d6968d30dec6#p72
I may give it a try later when start up issues are sorted out.
It's the sacnner which is the reference via a kind of scanner profile - assuming that all scanners of the same type read the same data, and the range of scanners appears to be very low at this time
Supported scanner models
Epson ET-8550
Epson ET-8500
Epson L8160
Epson L8180
Canon G600...
Epson is adding ink colors on several printer models - mainly on the larger format units, like orange, red, green blue violet, which you all can mix up with the prime CMY colors. I did that on the P400 longer time ago. There was a small, pretty small gain of the gamut size with the OEM inks vs...
You may swap the glossy and matte black inks with refill cartridges and autoreset chips, and you print with matte ink wheras the printerdriver thinks it's the gloss ink being used.
Are both printers on the same power rail ?
I don't think there is any way to measure some ohm like resistance on piezo elements driving the nozzles. You can assume that the piezo elements are arranged in a kind of matrix, it otherweise woould not be possible to address hundreds or even thousends of piezo elements separately. Epson most...
Such electrical measurement won't tell you anything about clogged nozzles.
What is the problem you have with the L3250 ? It is very successful flushing the printhead - wihtout
taking it out , there are plenty Youtube videos showing the process.
