Looking to replace a much older Canon printer; current or older model?

That's the idea, what's wrong with the item, especially when a pattern develops, not what's right which the manufacture goes out of his way to advertise. I never really considered the 4300 "premium". :idunno

Looking to replace a much older Canon printer; current or older model?

My OP was my list but I could add a small size is important, depth mostly. AFA Canon, I thought about Epson, but I almost never print photos (which I understand Epson is well known for with their pigmented ink) and I'm concerned about the lack of a replaceable printhead which I understand Epson...

Obviously, but how about all the other models with mega tanks that don't have this needed feature?? I typed that before I found out about their "secret'.

Canon's secret (sort of) MC-G01/G02 Maintenance Cartridge for some printers

How does one avoid all of either in the 1st place? I can see why there is a problem especially with black going a much greater distance. How often should one print a short test page of the 4 colors?

Canon's secret (sort of) MC-G01/G02 Maintenance Cartridge for some printers

I'm not a fan of YouTube videos for the most part, but every so often one comes along and really stands out. especially when it hits home (so to speak). I have read a number of the dreaded 5B00 error code from the filled ink pads on Canon printers and stumbled across this video that talks about...

Looking to replace a much older Canon printer; current or older model?

I was to Canons site and under drivers it just listed "Windows", nothing specific. Yes, XP is probably pushing things. Not a deal killer. FWIW; I called Canon and asked about the 1200 vs the 1220. The 1200 was disco'ed with the 1220 replacing it at $190 US. I asked about the differences and...

Looking to replace a much older Canon printer; current or older model?

I see that it appears the 1200 is disco'ed and replaced by the 1220, but I don't see a difference between the two. AFA as the Maxify line, it's just something more to go wrong and harder to service if necessary thou I'm doubting that is really possible like their older models. The...

Looking to replace a much older Canon printer; current or older model?

Typo on my part. :( The 4300 has the 5th tank and I don't see the difference between that the i560 I had before.. I just stumbled across a post you made 3 years ago about the dye based black; "That ink is not used for photo prints on glossy papers which creates some blacks getting a color cast...

Looking to replace a much older Canon printer; current or older model?

What I meant by service literature are what the manufactures has available to their service department people posted from different sources & countries. I have a ton of service literature on the ip4300. I've seen other models available, the last one was from Russia (of all places). That also...

"just about"?? That means NOT EVERYTHING. You are the one that needs to get your inflated head out of the sand. Your sarcastoic remarks are NOT welcome. This is the 2nd one you made singling me out. I ignored the 1st, but not this.

I have ordered twice from Precision Colors. It's especially nice due to their US location which is a half an hour drive from me. I also have ordered carts from Ink Owl both in New York.
