Hi and welcome,
I think the ink you purchased should be good enough to get a comparable reproduction like the OEM ink.
However, for a good and controllable color reproduction you need to create your own profiles, or have them made for you. In this case, it is because your third party ink is...
I did the opposite and printed an alternative to a ‘expensive’ Cokin P camera filter mount for my Sony Mavica 3.5 diskette cameras. I also printed some Cokin P size gel film holders to create silly custom filters from various transparent materials.
Even though transparent filaments might not be...
How well do the pigments settle in the paper? I've tried those papers too but with dye inks, and even though the print was OK, just a touch with a sweaty finger would smear the ink.
Which makes sense though, as it is aquarel paper.
Isopropyl alcohol acts as a water displacement, the exact opposite of what you need when you try to 're-hydrate' some rock solid dry pigments.
What to use instead? According to the manufacturers, some special cleaning solution. According to a local ink filler, exclusively hot demineralised...
On one of my Epson printers this happens when one of the ink nozzles blocks up. In my case it is usually one of the magenta nozzles that fails the nozzle check. That then results in a print like yours, in some printhead passes, the head fails to spray ink through a certain nozzle to the paper...
From what I could find, on some Canon printers the 7500 error code could indicate a cartridge chip issue. Try cleaning the contacts on both the printer and cartridge contacts with some isopropyl alcohol.
I think that's a lot but neither do I have that reference, with 12 carts I'd guess that seems right. At least it indicates that the waste system is functioning and pumping ink.
If you have the service manual that is excellent and there isn't much better advice I can give. Now you'll have to...
Did you check your waste cartridge too? Maybe it is defective or not seated properly.
From what I could find the B801 error is a general hardware error. Your waste motor spinning faster (louder) would indicate some kind of leak, slower (struggling) some kind of clog or block.
That would make...
Looks interesting, although I am curious what additives got used to give the material these properties.
I think PLA is great for being basically fermented plants and therefore not being much of a health concern. Reading that this filament is more abrasive compared to regular PLA, and the...
I've had some experience with both Bambu Lab and Creality, personally would go with Creality for a cheap learning experience for understanding the printer, troubleshooting upgrading etc. You will be learning about Flow Rate, Pressure advance, Z offset, calibrating extruders and more. And there's...
I have been using that scanning table and slider for a while and I'm not impressed by it.
The board itself is fine but the slider is not great because there is no mechanism or lubrication; it is quite annoying to move smoothly. The part itself does not fit snug into the table, and the wheels...
Did you prepare the cartridges before installation? You have to pull some ink into each cartridge with a syringe in order for the ciss to continuously refill it.
Glad you got it solved, usually that quality preset setting involves turning off bi-directional printing, or printing with less nozzles at a pass etc. In other words, turning off features that might cause print issues when not properly aligned, with a trade off for slower print time.
Found on another forum you can operate the printer without the door. You just need to find a way to keep the button pressed that reports the door being closed when pressed. I have no experience with this printer so try at your own risk.
Looking at that last image all your last picture, all your colours look bad, they all have lines in the printhead direction. To me it seems there is a paper feeding issue, and your printer might need PF adjustment or physical cleaning of the rollers.
If you want to go along with this printer...
How does your nozzle pattern check look? All nozzles cleared?
If so, it seems all nozzles work great individually as shown on the test prints, but not when combining them together for a photo print.
It may be that some rows of nozzles are out of alignment, you can try the alignment tool from...
Because the lines are not crossing the letters, I would doubt it is some kind of smearing. I assume the lines are parallel with the printhead direction?
If so I'd think the lines are overlapping prints where there printhead changes direction and/or feeds the paper just a bit too little.
You...
On the second picture I read HP7740HP7720 engraved to the mount, I'd think it might be a official HP tool?
Seems a bit of an excessive mounting solution for it to be an aftermarket tool, but for a official service provider or factory it would make sense.
