IIRC, Canon stopped making service manuals for some printer models a while back. Google search yields no results for that printer. I suggest you post the exact error message/symptom and people here can try to help. If necessary, photos of the problem area might be a good idea.

I think it's easy to find HOWTOs in the Google age. The question is whether it works, or has Epson made changes to block downgrades. Waiting to hear from OP.

Everything I've read about that series suggests it can't be downloaded. Well, you know, maybe by desoldering and replacing the ROM or something like that.
