I was watching the computer show 'call for help' last night, and I was lucky to catch the segment wherein they were comparing glossy and matte printouts.
According to the show, professionals prefer matte over glossy. Matte is more vivid and more longer lasting than glossy. Most amateurs, and...
Read the manual carefully. Sometimes, in our excitement, we disregard the manual and try to install the cartridges without checking it. Like Rob said, you just probably forgot to remove the tape over the inlet at the top of the cartridge.
Yeah, when I did the auto print head alignment, it printed only black and cyan, and I thought I had a clogged printhead, because I was expecting it to use all the cartridges.
The Pixma printers by Canon does duplex (double sided) printing, but I dunno if some of their Pixma printers print in papers larger than A4. Check their website.
BCI-3 and BCI-6 use the same dye based inks. However, There is a BCI-3e Pigment Black ink aside from the dye based inks. The pigment based cartridge of course is different from the inks used by BCI-6 cartridges.
The black text only printing will use the Pigment based black ink of the IP4000. Try using plain paper, as it is designed for black and line art printing.
Definitely I will! I am pretty confident I would win. I've searched all info regarding the Epson AcuLaser C1900 and I still have to read a review about it's photo printing capability. With my understanding that the reviewers never even bother to write something about its photo printing...
ink is probably too thick. it's having a hard time flowing through the printhead. printing may appear ok at the top because before printing, ink had enough time to flow down, but is not able to catch up once printing starts.
just a theory. :)
Laser Printers are better, because they are more economical, more permanent, and very fast. Text output is unmatched. Overall, it is better, no question about that.
But when it comes to photo printing, it doesn't match an inkjet photo printer. I've read that once in an article, and the fact that...
I was in a chatroom a while ago and I had a heated discussion with a chatter about the Epson Aculaser C9100 and Inkjet Photo Printers.
Since I have researched the Aculaser, and never was it ever mentioned in any reviews I've read about it being able to match any Inkjet Photo Printers, I made a...
That's maybe the reason why the newer pixma printers have some kind of problems with regards to pigment black and dye based colors bleeding together.
These printers are fast, and maybe it is too fast for their own good. Of course, selecting 'fine' mode is slower and eliminates this problem.
I know this is a stupid suggestion, since we really don't recommend refilling a dye based cart with a pigment based ink and vice versa.
But the only solution I can think of, to avoid bleeding when a printing in regular paper, is to remove the pigment based cart entirely, and replacing it with a...
Alotofthings is said to be using formulab inks on their arrowjet carts and bulk ink sets. Except for some bleeding between black and other colors printed on regular paper, I haven't heard any other problem whatsoever.
That's what Colorbat has suggested if your Inks are too thin. Mix 10% glycerin or more until it is thick enough for you to be comfortable with.
He also suggested mixing 10% distilled water to make the inks thinner, if it is too thick.
I don't know how true this is though.
Well, it does appear that Canon indeed has an internal counter, how else could that program 'know' how much ink you used, and how many pages you printed in just a few minutes of operation? At first I thought they will be installing a program that will monitor your usage from the time the program...
i think ocular will test them. i'll do if i have those stuff. if this carts performs well, then it is well worth the risk. if it doesn't, it is still worth the risk, we get to eliminate another cartridge and add it to our 'not recommended' list. :)
any program used to gather information from your computer and forward it to somebody is always suspect and i encourage you not to participate.
why? you really cannot tell what data will be recorded and forwarded to the said institution or company. such programs could be used to gather personal...
