Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

So after I flush it, do I dry off the sponge using the paper towel method? I mean, if I follow pharmacist's instruction to simply blow off as much fluid as you can, wouldn't the remaining fluid in the sponge dilute the ink too much? On the other hand, wouldn't drying it with the paper towel...

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

Sorry, can anyone run by me how to mix this? The percentage totals got me off, does this recipe mean - 3 drops of pure propylene glycol - 20 drops of 100% isopropyl alcohol - 87 drops of distilled water to make a 100 drop solution?

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

The OEM PC cart didn't cure my problem, I believe it was what mikling said about the print head internals being dry. But you're correct about my refilling method being suspect and needs reappraising. I'm just a bit thrown off, as everything I've done in refilling I've picked up from here. I've...

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

No, my print head is not fried. Coming off from an overnight soak, I just installed the print head, just shaking off the excess windex and kept the nozzles/receptors wet. Installed my refilled carts and the brand new PC cartridge. Performed a normal cleaning cycle and printed a nozzle check...

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

I currently have the print head soaking on top of a paper towel in windex. I can see the Windex being absorbed by the receptors when I deposit small amounts on top - all EXCEPT for the PC receptor. To agitate the head I slightly push the head down on to the paper towel, and I can even see small...

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

I just put in a brand new PC cart. Here are scans of my nozzle checks, each one printed after a deep clean. Notice the banding pattern for the PC is different everytime - I've seen prints from damaged heads, and consistent banding pattern is a common symptom, which is not the case here. So...

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

How should the sponge in refilled-OEM cartridges look to assess if they're properly feeding the head? I ask this because my refilled cartridges don't saturate with ink as much (i.e., heavily saturated at bottom half and lightly saturated at the top half) as the still sealed OEM ones. I remember...

Help with Canon Pro9000 II - Clogged head or ink starvation issue?

Hi, I've had my Pro9000 II for about 4 months now and have been refilling my OEM cartridges (top fill method) for the last 3 months. With regards to usage I've approximately consumed only 1 set of OEMs, 1 refilled set of UW-8, and 1 refilled set of IS inks (except for the Red and Green which...
