Adding a waste ink tank to an epson 1400 involves drilling one hole in the right side of the printer( facing it), and about 10 minutes easy work! If you type in (adding a waste ink tank to an Epson 1400) you can find pictures. I know Ink Republic and InkJetCarts both have tutorials on that as...
Won't work? Bummer! But I was thinking after reading about it, I know Damper Cartridges come with Micro filters built in so wouldn't that take care of the "Dirty" problems before the ink reaches the head? Just a thought!
Here's an idea, we could set up a printer with a waste ink tank but instead of running the tubing into a bottle we could run it into a second printer set up for black only, then the waste ink would be supplying the second printer automatically! What do ya think???, ( Patent pending)
Say Tin Ho, I was reading back through this thread and I got the feeling I may have offended you with my Mule comments so I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate your comments in here and let you know my mule comments were just a joke and I'd never do or say anything to offend you as...
I use Claria type third party dye based inks and Costco Glossy paper and I can print a full color page and moments later put it under the kitchen water faucet. It surprised me the first time I did this and I even took a wet paper towel and lightly scrubbed the print and there was absolutely no...
I agree with all said so far, of course when you do have a CISS installed it is cheaper by far to just print a color test page or two each day to keep the printer working perfect and you should not even think about doing a head cleaning with the standard deal. That is just my opinion based on...
Why not just type (Invisible ink) into Google? I just did and all sorts of sources pop up, including suggestions like how to use lemon juice to make invisible ink! Also pens for sale loaded with invisible ink, and/or the inks themselves!
Lets not forget (Leverite), my wife worked in an Alaskan Gold mine for a friend years ago and she told me about that stuff. She said people would pick up a rock and ask what it was and if it was valuable! The miners would say..( Oh! That's "leverite") "Just lever right there).
I still have unused dampers for the C-88's so I could fill a set with head cleaner or windex and run some test prints for a few days, but the truth is I never had good service with the C-88's. I kept trying to make them work and ended up over a few years of trying with 4 of them but then I...
I use a waste ink tank that I can empty on most printers but I was wondering about the pads. On printers like the Epson Artisan models the pads are easy to get to and I could remove them and clean them and reinstall them however My question is this. If I wanted to replace the pads with new ones...
For the record, I love Mules, and most all of the other critters God put on the planet! Just having a bit of fun there with my pals in nifty stuff! I just started my dog and myself on a diet including D.E. ( Diatomaceous Earth( Food grade only). I dust both my dog and my cat with the stuff as...
I have some OEM carts that have the Epson chips to start a 1400 up I paid around $4.50 each for them so they are available out there. My 1400 went through the shut down thing and the OEM remanufactured carts got it going again. Later I added a refillable set of dampers with the RBTF chip set...

I also faced this problem once and I took a chance and just filled the...
