there is a " out of paper " sensor in each printer...and on canon ( i think ) the machine use that ( out of paper sensor ) and the width paper counter to detect whether a paper jam does exist. at my bjc 2100 and xnu i320 i ever had like this problem...and i just...
today i got a trouble with my XNU cyan just the when i print a large blue " Sonic the Hedgehog " poster. when the head should print it with solid cyan color, now it tends to be a gradient....on all page....i've do all the things i can...and i know that the nozzle was allright ...and it seems...

don't push an air through the inlet part, instead do it at the inkjet ports ( head ), cause according to each inkjet schematic that from up to the bottom ( ink catridge to the ink head ) the diameter of the pipe seems getting smaller.. so if you had some large clog particle...
