It you were in a situation where you needed a new board then the BTT with Klipper would be a good choice, however you are running OK with the current board so stay with it.
First, return it to Amazon - they will take it back and refund you.
Second, bite the bullet and get a purpose made magnetic sheet and plate with Pei textured coating for the CR10 that is made by Creality ;)...
Can't get much easier than that, especially if they have even provided a Klipper firmware to suit the printer. I'd be tempted to get one of those if I was printing a lot as I have a CR10 gathering dust since my Voron was built. After seeing how good the Klipper firmware is and how it can be...
A sunny but freezing cold day in Salisbury. Pic is taken in the water meadows just a few yards away from where John Constable painted his famous Salisbury Cathedral painting.
If you are a hobbyist that needs some organisation for the hundreds of different parts you have or you can't think of anything to feed your 3D printer with then this is a great project, fast and ecomonical to print too...
I hope it works out using the magnets. The magnetic sheet is a uniform magnetic surface so it grips across the entire area whereas the magnets do no produce a uniform "pull" If you use lots of them liek on a Prusa for example then it will probably work, but you will only find out if you print...
Don't think there is any Canon now with print heads on the cart. For general use you can't go far wrong with the Canon Maxify range. Not a photo printer if you want high quality photos but for everythign else its a great machine that can also be refilled with 3rd party inks.
He is well respected in the printing world for making the guides easy to understand. When I first started printing I never bother to calibrate the Extruder E steps, but it can make a lot of difference to the prints. Sometimes they come very close to the optimum figure and sometimes they are...
On thing I found out about PEI sheets. They need to be cleaned properly with dish soap periodically. Using IPA does not completely clean the surface as it leaves a film. Best to take a sponge with dish soap and water on it and wash the suface, then dry with a clean micorfibre cloth or a piece...
I use one on the Voron and yes there are small artefacts but nothing that is glaringly obvious like in the video. Dual geared extruder are very reliable as far as feeding the filament goes, certainy much mroe reliable than a single gear extruder.
As per the title the presenter examines the possible link between dual gear extruders and print artefacts. Interestingly he suggests that the Prusa Mini and Ender 3 may produce better prints than the Prusa MK3 due to only using a single gear rather than the dual gear extruder.
I don't have the Pro 10 but I do a Nozzle check on my Pro 9000 MK2 every week. I suggest you do the same weekly as it uses little ink and is the best way to keep the nozzles working OK. If you have windows you can set up an automated print weekly. It can be done on Mac too but the process is...
@RogerR Nice to see another "Raven" owner. now I don't feel as Nerdy as I did :weee
You are correct about printing after a long period of rest. Mine set idle for 5 mths due to other stuff taking priority, but a couple of weeks ago I actually got to print my first ever self designed part in...
