I think you will get the B504 (If I remember the correct number) error. That freaked me out the first time it happened 😱 but I recovered it by putting in an empty OEM cart with original chip. The printer started up, reported the cart needed changed and parked it for changing. Adding the...
@palombian Currently have the ? on the Cyan and Yellow so may well try your suggestion with the "normal" cartridge replacement methodand the aluminium tape, never tried tape on the outlet.
Mine will never print the yellow nozzle check strip unless I select high quality. I agree they are a quirky printer range but I think Palombian made a valid point in that they like to be printng regularly.
The most important thing I have found when refilling is to get as much air as possible...
I've had a Maxify 5150 for 4 years now and it replaced a MP640. It has been great and easy to refill compared to some of the newer printers. I added ARC chips to the original OEM carts and refill them. I also have it running on Wifi and can print from anywhere at home using mob phone, laptop...
Can you send me a link to the V2 carts? Not sure if I have seen them but they sound interesting. Often on Ebay you can pick up empty Maxify carts so that would be another way to make up an OEM set with ARC chips.
I used Chinese carts with ARC chips but they often leaked when put back into the printer after refilling so I now fill the OEM carts with ARC chips and they work great...
It is probably not burned nozzles but clogging due to the use of 3rd party inks. I have exactly the same model of printer and it produces streaky prints during a nozzle check print but when printing normally it works just fine. I print high quality most of the time as ink is relatively cheap...
Some PLA is more prone to lower temp deforming but by the sound of it Creaity has changed their formula. Sometiems manufacturers also produce bad batches so it could be they had a bad run of the latest filament.
I'm amazed too, because for once rip off Britain is actually selling something for a decent price ( @The Hat - Look away)

I know nothing about the Pro-1000 however the same code has appeared on my Canon Maxify when a cartridge was completely empty.
I solved it by putting in an old empty Canon OEM cartridge, it then showed I needed to replace it with a full cartridge and when I did that it the printer carried on as...
I never saw the bird until I opened up the picture in the Mac to resize it :) BTW every year the cathedral has a pair of breeding Peregrines who nest there.
