Hi
dont worry that your printer is not listed, you just need bci-6 ink
i can also endorse www.octoink.co.uk ink
almost indistinguishable from original Cannon ink.
IMHO its best to refill genuine Cannon cartridges, compatibles can give problems.
Wish you all the best of luck, and very pleased you are prospering, i think i would comment suicide if i had to buy new original canon ink-carts ever again.
Mike
I refill HP300 for a friend without any problems
But it is very easy to burn out the print head as you dont get any indication that it has run out of ink until it stops printing and then its too late!
they are disposable cartridges after all.
What happens when you wipe the cartridge print head gently across some absorbent paper (kitchen towel/toilet paper in UK)
you should see three clear lines red blue yellow
if not place cart with printhead down in an old sock, take outside and swing vigorously, then try the smear test again
You should put the needle all the way into the cartridge and fill very very slowly, the printhead should leak ink slightly if not it will need priming.

I had not tried Lidl photo paper before, so only bought one packet of A4.
It really is very good so went back today to get some more

Yes i top fill and that is the method i use, no drips and no overfilling. no possible damage to the sponge or outlet sponge filter and if anything quicker then the German method.
i have been refilling HP78 cartridges for over 10 years, i regularly get between 10 to 20 refills without problem, and virgin used carts are very cheap on ebay.
i have also been refilling Canon CL-51 carts for some time failure rate is similar to HP but their lack of ink capacity is a major...
But You don't need to completely immerse the printhead in cleaning fluid, and if you have taken out a canon print head that has had a lot of use the underneath is usually covered in ink so it has, by design, to be relatively immune to wetness.
The i865 i was recently given had sat without ink...
no more dangerous then all the other household cleaners you are likely to have in your house.
You don't want your children to have access to any of them.
Mike
Yes i have been trying to get it going with both wireless and networked to my router
im a good mechanic, but PC networking and IP addressing is driving me NUTS at the moment.
Mike
Hmm Ebay :)
i have just bought an Ip4000R for 10 ( about $16) it came with 5 full genuine canon ink carts installed and 5 new genuine spare.

Ding!
yes i was thinking as a 4 colour printer owner, i had not thought Photo=LIGHT Magenta/cyan.
Thanks for all the other comments i will try the CLI-8 ink
Mike
Thanks for the reply i cant easily get Hobbicolors ink in the UK but i assume I.S. CLI-8 ink would be somewhat similar.
Now i have a choice dilemma !
is the general consensus that photo ink is defiantly the way to go for printing on photo paper.
Mike
Three weeks it's taken me to unclog the print head in the i865 i was given, so now i need to buy some ink.
So question, is the I.S. photo ink dye based, and is it worth while buying it over their ordinary ink for photos.
Also it seems www.octoink.co.uk are running down their supplies of Bci-6...
