I will get an OEM cartridge tomorrow morning ,I dont have one at the time being.
I might look to upgrade too as I've wasted alot of time trying to remedy the problems I've encountered with the IP3000.
I have tried 2 different ink brands and they both give the same result.
In the past I tried various different compatible ink brands and they all resulted in the same phenomenon on the Cyan colour.
Perhaps if I put some cleaning fluid in the cartridge with the ink it may decrease the viscosity ...
I just thought of something.
I presume that the printhead should be removed from the printer as little as possible,i.e the lever holding it in place should be opened as little as possible.
Perhaps this creates wear and tear which causes a misalignment of the printhead.
In 4 printheads I've...
Update on this ink from 7 Day Shop
I've used 4 packs of it so far and it is of good quality.
It comes in a nice box with each colour in a plastic container/syringe.
Has plugs ,gloves, needles and all accessories included.
Superb value .
I drilled a hole in the top of the freshly opened Cyan cartridge and let some air in to push more ink into the sponge.
I also reseated the Printhead.
This seems to have resolved the problem for the time being as it is working fine again.
In the past I have used these compatible ink cartridges...
Since I got the new printhead I have been taking good care of the printer.
I have made sure to always turn the printer off using the main power switch so that ensures the printhead is parked correctly.
I have been using a combination of compatible cartridges and Jettec refill kits, which have a...
I received a replacement printhead from Canon for my Pixma 3000 at the end of February.
Has been working fine since then until today.
Guess what has happened again ?
The Cyan nozzles have stopped working.
Thats 2 Printers and 4 printheads over 12 months that have all resulted in the same...
I'd avoid using their compatible BCI-6 cartridges.
I bought some lately and they wrecked my printhead.
The cartridges were faulty as the sponges didnt allow the ink to get to the outlet port and most of them were blocked on opening.
Never encountered such bad compatibles before,I had to throw...
Pretty good deal on this

This kit contains 3 syringes, with 1x30ml each of cyan, magenta and yellow ink.
Works out at about 17p for a refill of one cartridge.
Havent used it myself but Enhanced Quality...
Not much in it to be honest, both give very good quality ,I couldnt really state which is better.
One major flaw of the 3000 is that it mixes the 3 colours ,cyan, magenta and yellow to get black in photos.
This sometimes results in a dark greeny black aka Matrix black like the film.
The Canon is...
I have a Canon Pixma 3000 and an Epson R200.
The Canon is far cheaper to run as its ink consumption is less .
In my opinion ,a set of 4 cartridges on the Canon lasts 1.5 times or more the length of a 6 set of Epsons and the Epsons cost twice the price of the Canon set.
So the ink cost is 3...
Tore it apart ?
I didnt open it at all.
I syringed it and cleaned it but I didnt tamper with the internals at all.
I believe the Cyan ink is leaking out of the gasket similar to your problem,as when I put warm water thru the cyan inlet ,it seemed to come out the sides.
Magenta and Yellow are now...
Well I've tried almost everything.
1.Soaked the printhead in Windolene .
2.Cleaned the Printhead on Kitchen Roll soaked in windolene.
3.Cleaned the Printhead using Cleaning fluid.
4.Syringed the nozzles with warm purified water and air.
If anything the problem has become worse.
I rang the Canon...
I put the head under a tap ,it doesnt seem to have effected the electronics of the head anyway.
The colours were tainted for a bit but they went back to normal pretty quickly ;after a few nozzle checks ,so thats Ok.
I must buy some more Windolene tomorrow as I used it all up !
How much Windolene...
Update:
I put the cleaned Printhead back in the printer and inserted the new cartridge.
I used a 7 Day Shop Cartridge for the Yellow and Magenta and a new Canon Cyan.
The result was the same as before ,Cyan ran out quickly.
I then decided to switch the Cyan and Magenta cartridges around.
Result...
Cheers for the advice Guys.
I have soaked the Printhead in a small amount of Windolenene and dried it on Kitchen Towel.
It is nice and clean now.
I have also removed the tape from the top of the cartridges.
In the case of the Cyan I had removed it already but it doesnt hurt to do so on all...
I used about 6 of the 7 Day Shop Cyan cartridges and evertone of them was the same, only printed for a few sheets, some didnt work at all.
I only had one cartridge of the Good Smartjet type left and that worked perfectly.
Its used up now so I only have the 7 Day Shop type left.
I'll have to get...
Some funny goings on with my Pixma 3000 again this week.
It had worked exemplarily for the last 3 months.
However now there are problems with the Cyan colour.
It prints correctly for the first few photos but then the cyan colour is no longer printed.
If I take out the cartridges and reseat them...
