This is off topic but I will ask you as you seem to be an expert with printers.
I have a Epson RX530 and I am searching for the code or software to reset the waste tank warning when it occurs. I bought the printer in Australia and this model does not appear world wide. The SCC...
Thanks point taken, I will do regular nozzle checks. By the way this printer was purchased in Australia and I am searching for a method to reset the waste tank warning when it occurs. Thh SCC softyware does not support it at present. Is there a code or software that does. I would assume repair...
Thanks for the tip, but so far I have been able to just about pour the ink in. The cartridge is not actualy under a vacuum as air has to replace ink used. As far as I can work out the air gets in through the actual nozzles as I canot find any other inlet after I seal my fill hole. The cartridge...
Sorry I am late replying. I have been busy. Lifeline is like the Salvation Army. It's a charity store where people donate unwanted goods and they sell it at giveaway prices for charity. I could not help myself I bought a Lexmark X1150 multy function less fax for $5. Downloaded the driver and...
This is a bit off topic but it may make you smile, Being a project engineer I had the task of applying a hot melt powder to a small plate so after trouble with spraying it on to a hot surface I thought that if I put the powder in a small bath actvated by ultrasonics it would become sort of...
Thanks for reply.
I am talking about camera files taken at different resolutions. The reason I ask is for information on the project I am working on. I am trying to gather as much information about ink usage in relation to all types of output and printers used.
I can now interpret the...
I am researching ink usage for all types of printers, a bit beyond page yield. I am after ink usage rates for different resolutions in B&W or Colour.
Also maybe someone can answer this. I have two photos each of the same subject one taken with half the resolution of the other. Now I print those...
My Epson RX530 has 4 ink tanks. They do not use sponges. My question is if I emptied and filled a cartridge with a suitable cleaner, could I then place that cleaner cartridge in each ink position to flush its print heads?.
Then having done that how long would it take to get the ink to replace...
When I fill my black cartridge for my HP720c I squeeze the sides of the cartridge as I seal the refill hole. I find that this sets up a slight negative atmosphere that helps to stabilize the cartridge much quicker than just letting it drip to equalize pressure.
It still drips a bit but I hold...
With ink I think it pays to buy the best, with finer resolution printers and especially with pigment ink if the pigment size is not small enouth the head can block easily. The difference between top quality ink and the cheap stuff in price is hardly an issue when you consider the savings made by...
In Australia there is the law Bill of sales, It is quite specific about protecting the customer if goods are not to a customer's liking for the application or is faulty.
Most large companies will refund or replace in a reasonable time with no questions asked provided a docket is produced and...

It is 8 years old, funny you suggested that about spares. I visited my favourite printer spare place yesterday (LifeLine)and found one, complete with cartridges $2. I brought it home connected it up and printed a colour photo. It is unbelievable who would give a perfectly good printer...
As a thought would a cheap vacuum cleaner do the job, you would only require a minus atmospheric pressure, these get thrown away at cleanup time. The other possibility is one of those 12volt small car tyre inflators. They use pistons to achieve the pressure. If the input could be isolated they...
Could be the tank is getting empty. It seems as if the sponge is emptying without sufficient ink to re saturate it fast enough.
My belief is that if the ink level gets to low in the tank and the level of ink in the sponge drops allowing the ink to dry in the sponge therefore limiting from then...
With printers you have to make the decision backwards, First consider final use then what quality you want next if you are going to refill and then availability and fillability of cartridges and a good supplier of ink. Lastly you choose a printer model and the best supplier that will offer the...
I have an older HP720c and one refill trick I can pass on is this. Cut two pieces of plastic the width of each cartridge and use that to slip in between the printer pins and the cartridges contacts. On my printer the printer pins are sharp and I lost one cartridge in just removing it. The pins...
Abdul that is a good idea, My wife just got a front loader that has a speed of 1400rpm, I will have to wait till she goes out. She would kill me if I used it for that reason, it's her present toy. It would beat my method of placing the cart in a plastic bag and twirling it.

What about hot melt, one blob fits any shape and can be flattened just before solidifying. It seals quickly and is easy to peel off next time you refill
