    Blacks are dark blue ?

I first printed the PDF file with plain paper selected and in draft mode just to save ink and it's definitly darker. The question remains how do I print DVD covers and get black and gray when needed ? I make them in Adobe Photoshop and the light and bright ones look pretty good but any ones...

    Blacks are dark blue ?

Grayscale test :( http://www.nifty-stuff.com/images/laserkey.pdf I downloaded the grayscale test in pdf form and as you can see it comes out blue. I set the IP3000 to PhotoPaper Pro and Grayscale and printed it on plain paper.

    Blacks are dark blue ?

The printer is a Canon IP3000 that does not have the memory chips on them. I wanted to try the older Canon high resolution ink since I had so much of it and at first it seemed to work ok but as soon as it needs gray or black I get blue instead.

    Blacks are dark blue ?

I can't get my refill ink to give me true dark black. It comes out as a horrible dark blue. I test printed the gettyimages test pictures and anything that should be black or gray is blue. :(

MP780 on sale on ebay for $165

I think I'd rather get the new MP600, you can still refill the carts with no problem and they have generic carts now that have a place for the little microchip, you just need to remove it from the Canon carts.

    hobbicolors ink fading

Email hobbicolors about your fading problem and see if they can't send you some new ink for free. Show them the pictures. It might be a bad batch of ink.

Why do my Canon PIXMA's photo prints suck?

    1. What software are you using ? 2. What Camera did you take the picture with and what resolution ? 3. What settings are you using when printing ? PS: The 3000 works great for photos, your model is either setup wrong or defective.

Fading report by Fadeaway, Grandad35 and JV

So for pictures that last I would want Canon OEM and Ilford Classic Pearl. http://www.pictureline.com/product.php?id=3172 PS: It does not surprise me that Pigment ink is more fade resistant. This is very well known.

    Canon MP500 ??

Use the rear feeder instead of the bottom cassette. It should eliminate most of these marks. The bottom feeder was really only intended for plain paper.

    Tom Hardware review 12/8/05

6 HP ink cartridges: HP 02 Black, 16 ml, HP 02 Cyan, 4.5 ml, HP 02 Magenta, 4.5 ml, HP 02 Yellow, 4.5 ml, HP 02 Light Cyan, 4.5 ml, HP 02 Light Magenta, 4.5ml They probably based it on the black ink and text pages. Tom's Hardware always has misleading specs.
