Purge cam sensor error [5C00]
1. Might be the spring is weak.
2. The sensor is defective and needs to be replaced.
3. Some other problem is causing the error.
I always just refill the Canon made carts. People don't realize how important cart quality is until something goes wrong.
The Ink Grabber cart maybe leaking ink and it's getting into the other tanks. Is it the large text black or the photo black that is from Ink Grabber.
The 3500 will be fine for your task. The black cart will print 500 pages on normal mode and 1500 on draft mode. Since space is a factor being able to fill the bottom feeder with paper is a great, I have mail and my phone on top of the printer so the top feeder is blocked off but I can still...
With the three ink systems you need to use really good ink such as Canon OEM, it produces a charcoal black but at least it's not blue. I need to order up some Hobbicolors and try it in it and see if it is balanced enough to produce a better black then the bulk ink I have now.
Trigger 37:
You keep posting the same information, I have owned a 6600d for about 2 years and I'm aware they have a photo black cart. I have no problems getting that model to print true black on cd/dvd media. This thread is about the lowly iP3000 and any 3 ink model producing composite black on...
It's vLited Windows Vista: http://www.vlite.net/

Had to use my free printable cd-r's on something worthwhile.
It should be listed like this:
Number of Nozzles
* Black: 512
* Color: 1024 x 2 (C,M), 512 x 2 (Y,BK)
Total: 3584

* Color: 1024 x 4 (C,M, Y,BK)
Total: 4608
The iP6220D is a terrible choice since it's a dedicated photo printer. I'd recommend the Canon IP4500 or HP Officejet Pro K5400. Both have been tested to do 8+ pages according to CNET.
It does use black ink on printable media when you have black text, since the black I'm printing is a background it must see it as a graphic or photo and try and use composite black.
We did with making dvd covers but I wasn't using it to print to media. I have a ton of ink left for that printer so I was going to use it for printing dvd covers. I then decided to start using it to also print inkjet printable media as well. If only there was a way to manually over ride the...
Here is the process in pictures and changing the settings don't have any effect like they do when printing on a sheet of paper, btw the print quality on the printable disc is superb it's just not black enough.
It's not the printer it's the old inks that I'm using in it and unfortunately picking a model that has only 4 inks instead the better 5 ink models that they made. I also have a IP6600 which prints a dark vivid black.
The problem with black steams from the IP3000 only having 4 inks, it tries to use the 3 inks to produce a black and it comes out blue. With regular printing I could make sure black was used by selecting, draft mode, high mode or glossy photo paper.
Draft mode = Black ink is used
Standard mode...
I tried letting photoshop handle the colors but I still get the same results.
I also tried Nero Cover designer and got the same result.
I'm thinking once you choose cd-r tray x in the printer properties it ignores any third party app and takes over and handles the color balance.
I don't know what arrogant a** hole at Canon decided that end users would not be
able to change the color balance of a printable cd/dvd but he should be dragged out
into the streets and shot. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Always buy the printer at a store and get the 2 year warranty. Then after 18 months of heavy use you can just return it and they will replace it with whatever new model is out.
