Hello guys,
please look at the pictures below (click on them to enlarge).
As you can see I have partially broke the holders of the chip, (I was trying to replace canon 520 chip with canon 525 chip), on the others cartridges I have done this operation broking just the head of one holder but...
I saw that with the top fill method the people usually clean the cartridges putting them directly under a jet of water letting the water enter inside from the top hole.
So I was thinking about the cartridge chip, do you remove the chip before or? I dunno if it's a good idea to keep the chip...
Let's do an example that could be my case.
I have a bottle of 250ml of black ink.
Every 2 weeks I open the bottle to refill the syringe then I close the bottle again.
In this kind of situation the ink inside the bottle how much can "survive" ?
Thanks
I was reading a bit of information about the top-fill method, I have some doubts how to close the hole used to insert the needle inside the cartridge.
That's because I don't know where to find the silicon plugs at a reasonable price; what do you use to close the hole? what I can use as valid...
Thanks to both guys.
Peter you just put in me very doubts about which method is better... could be that you didn't do it gently? (the insertion of the needle I mean)
Just tried with pgi 520 cli 521 cartridges.
What to say, it's really a great method! :)
The tube that I used measures more or less 24mm and 1mm of thickness.
Thanks for share this. ;)
Considering that the sponge of the OEM Canon cartridges pgi 520 cli 521 is not visible from the outside how I can be sure that the sponge is still in the proper position (before the refilling activity)?
Thanks in advance
Hi guys,
I'm newbie in this field so I have to ask to someone more expert what to do to preserve an ink cartridge just refilled.
My idea is to have 2-3 kits of the same cartridges so I can replace a cartridge once empty without the necessity to recharge it immediately.
I think this is useful...
Sorry but I still don't understand if once the pharmacist formula solution is inside the cartridge I can start to fill the cartridge with the ink or if I have to make some washes with the pharmacist solution, then let it dry and only after refill the cartridge with the ink.
You say that 3 ml are...
Thanks for the answer, I'll try in that way.
Anyway, it seems that the most interesting thing inside the service mode is the possibility to reset the ink absorber, Am I right?
Hi,
thanks for the answer.
I have further questions... :)
1. About the pharmacist formula, how many ml are necessary to clean one cartridge pgi 520 cli 521?
2. This formula has to be used to make washes or it's only necessary to fill the cartridge? A guide could helps.
3. Isopropyl alcohol and...
Hi guys,
I would like to buy some empty cartridges pig 520 and cli 521 (to use as refillable cartridges with the chip of pgi 525 cli 526), considering that I don't know from how much time the cartridges are empty (and how they have been stored) I'm thinking if a prolonged missing of the ink can...
