It came never in my mind to match the Canon colors exactly, well.....the results with the OEM ink were very nice, but I knew I would switch to another ink, and in combination with using non Canon paper it was of no use to expect that also. I did chose for Hobbicolors after a search on this...
You were right, I won't even come close with 6 Hobbicolors ( I keep OEM green and red in for now ) , I have added the latest scan.
I had a quick look to the Manual Adjustment ( I didn't see the tab after your previous post....:( ) and I think I can work with that, but probably I will start from...
Have a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark ii, and I am replacing the original Canon ink with Hobbicolors UW-8
At first I wanted to change all of them at the same time, but decided to go " one color by color " to see what the effect would be.
How I did it : when I got a color warning from the printer, I...
I am used to edit photos with Photoshop CS4, and what is better than the same print comes out of the printer as what is on the screen ? This is also good in case my girlfriend wants to print something, always the same method.
I am not so concerned about getting nice pics printed in the future...
I had around 20 PGI-5 carts in the box, these are much more difficult to clean than the CLI-8 carts.
I have an idea, and if I have some time left this week I will try it out, and take some pics.
Time to time, I post this rant in response to the 'newbies' and others who are just frightened about putting 3rd party inks into their printer and now want to know how and where can I get this 'stuff'.
LOL...Is this not your first post ?
I might be a newbe to this forum, but still I have "...
I know what you mean on30trainman, and I was pretty lucky ( until now ). I bought the printer mainly to print 60 high end borderless brochures, and 6 - 7 times a different one per year. I started with glossy brochure paper from HP, and the colors of the print were of course not the same. So I...
I started using the Pro 9000 Mark ii two weeks ago, with the OEM inks and carts in it.
I have already my extra virging ( and purged ) spare carts ready, only not the red and green.
I want to switch over to Hobbicolors, any idea if I could leave the OEM red and green for now, and switch only the...
I saw a post about that yesterday, lol....I was already counting the carts...! I live in Canada, and Staples has changed their rewards program, at least here in Quebec. There are drop containers in the stores, but that is it, we can " drop " the carts for free, lucky us... The money goes to...
Hello,
I am looking for 2 virgin empty oem cli-8 carts red and green, OR the 2 OEM chips for these carts.
I have emty purged oem cli-8 carts, ready for the German Durchstich method, in case you would need those.
Someone able to help me out ?
Thanks
Although I am a newbe in purging carts, I still prefer to purge by the way I do, as in this way, any possible contamination goes " goes away " from the outlet sponge into the ink chamber, and leaving the cart through the hole that I drilled in the beginning, which I will close afterwards...
Hello all,
I only became recently a member, but found valuable info on CLI-8 carts, especially purging and the Durchstich method.
I am purging 100 CLI-8 carts ( lol, there were so many in the box....), using a lot of info from this forum, but added some " nifty " solutions to make life easier...
