hey now that we will be switching over to led lights in the home how will these lights effect photos, i know it will still be some time before everyone switches over but we might as well start the discussion
just printed a photo with that profile, very nice on the kirkland paper. not to get off on a tangent do i have to go into photoshop and printer preferences and reset them everytime i print a picture
ok it's been awhile since i have flushed any cartridges, today i flushed a 221 gray cartridge, well when you look at the sponge you can see that it looks pink, it is quite apparent that it did not completely clear the sponge. all i used was warm water and i backed flushed from the exit port, the...
ok we are back up and running, this afternoon i lost my connection to the modem (don't know why), i reset the modem, and pinged the pinter and gateway with zero loss, and printing is back to normal, there must have been an issue with the modem, if this ever happens again the first thing i will...
yep i tried several times to remove and reinstall, to no avail, when i use the usb cable everything is good, i did notice that when the usb is connected another mp990 shows up that is labeled copy. so the drivers are good. but if i try wireless the best i can get is 75% of the 1st page, canon...
ok here is the setup (it has been working fine for several years) desktop w/win7 64 bit, laptop win7 maybe 32 bit not sure. the MP990 is connected to the desktop via usb, the laptop is conncted to the wireless router, and the MP990 is connected to the router via the wireless connection, i can...

also i have an excess of the 220 PGBK...
ok let's keep it simple, there is copy paper, inkjet paper and laserjet paper (throw in color-lok). is there an advantage to using one over the other when using an inkjet printer (no pigment black), normally i use copy paper 20 pound 92 bright for an all around paper but the other day i had a...
hmmmmp, having been a member for so long and i am not sure where to ask this lol, when people scan receipts and documents, what is the best way to save them and i am not looking to edit the scanned image, just occasionally to review and reprint if needed, i have been saving as a jpeg but then it...
i don't see clogging as an issue when over filling, the problem that i had on over fills was cross contamination, which then lrequires flushing any cartridges that have been contaminated, hmmm but i quess you could run into the black pigment crossing over into the other cartridges
it seems the main issue here is how much ink is in the sponge when the reservior is empty, with the new dark cartridges we can not tell, someone who still uses Cli-8 cartridges could do a test fill as they can see the sponge, i would recommend covering the vent maze with your thumb or putty fill...
i would do a nozzle check and scan i color photo or magazine cover with the mp560 it is wireless, you can do the afore mentioned without connecting to a computer, just plug it into an outlet
if you get 2 sets of OEM 520/521s so you always have a full set ready to switch, they will last you years, i have cartridges that i have been using for over 3 years, it will be your best investment in refilling
i do not have a costco near me but i would be interested in how they refill the cartridges and which ink they are using, are you having OEM cartridges refilled or compatibles refilled, it almost sounds like the cartridge can not supply enough ink, so it may print 2 good lines then a couple light...
rather than downloading a file and printing as a standard, i will get a photo from a color lab and adjust the monitor and prints off of that, that should limit the variables of monitor scanner etc
