That's why I wrote Munki/i1Studio;) And I have one, including the software? But also i1Pro, MYIRO, DTP20 and access to literaly evry existing device still in production. So my answer was: NO, the software included can't handle different illuminants and iProfiler don't works neither with i1...
The Munki/i1Studio has an allowance of deviance between 2 devices of Delta 2000 = 1,5 conform to the xrite data sheet. A barely skilled eye can see a difference from Delta 2000 = 0,5. If you take on account the fact that the deviance between 2 measurings of the same color with the same device...
No, There is a build in LED which only allows a D50 M2 reading and the software can't handle any other illuminant.
Normal, they grey axis is printed in composite based on a D50 profile. As your Tungsten lamp has another wave lenght the magenta will be reflected and some others are absorbed...
If you don't pretend to produce high accuracy prints the Munki can do the job untill someone other prints the same job with a better profile. The deviance of a Munki can sometimes reach values perceptible by an human eye. Even an i1Pro has deviances you won't imagine. Above I only posted Delta...
The Flexscan is for office purpose, not for any kind of grapic arts related work.
There are juste 3 brands who use always the same panel in a display model (Eizo is one of them). All the others just put the cheapest they can find in the display. So you can have luck and buy a geat display but...
Well, not sure if you are talking ablout the LG 5K monitor Apple is selling too or the built in monitor of your iMac Pro?
Basically both of them can do the job when well calibrated. I couldn't find the entire specs of the iMac monitor to know the real % of P3 or Adobe 98 it can reproduce.
But %...
The goal is to give information. If you don't know what all the abreviations or specifications means you can't do the job.
An enthousiast don't need to buy a device NOW, only profesionals are in the need of buing a device imediately. And a real pro better should spend even €2000 to make sure...
A few hints when it comes to creating a printerprofile.
1st and most important question is "for which kind of purpose". (Hobby? Industry? Graphic arts?)
2nd question which depends on the answer to the first one. Are their any certification standards to meet?
3re question is what I want to print...
Depends on the brand…
Some will provide quite good profiles for use with standard inks and printersettings. They are using good devices with a reasonable number of patches.
Others are using old devices, outdated and not reliable. Maybe still better than nothing but not famous at all.
Hello Andy,
You have good hardware (specialy your Nikon), please don't mess up your equipment by working without a straigt calibration of your working process.
The iMac screens are not bad but nowadays the monitor calibration "by eye" is not possible in a correct way as Apple changed the...
Yes, I forgot to mention the fact that the Munki is accepted by Colornavigator. But the "new" i1Studio is not supported.
The software is developped by EIZO but they are using the Konica-Minolta CMM
Possible. Even if the EX4 is a colorimeter and not a spectralphotometer like the Color Munki...
Two reasons:
1) Your model ist the lowend. That means that the factory calibration is not as good as for the high-end monitors.
2/ Colornavigator is based on Konica-Minolta engine and by this you will have much better results as one can obtain by using the standard Color Munki software. The...
First of all a happy new year to everyone.
As the MYIRO is now integrated in our software I could achieve the tests.
The goal was to know how good is the accuracy of repeatability compared to an i1Pro2? We measured 30 times the white plate, red, blue and green referencies. First always i1Pro...
Hi shhh, what kind of machines do you use for letterpress? I worked with Heidelberg OHT and OHZ when I was younger. I did CMYK printing with both of them. Also stamping and all the other things one can do with them. I love letterpress.
Compatible with i1Profiler? Never. Would you expect Coca Cola to serve Pepsi?
More reliable and more accurate, I think so. There are the same components inside as in the FD series, assembled with the same standards in quality contol at the same production units. That means a higher accuracy and...
Konica-Minolta is far away from being absorbed by Sony. They just sold their photography branch to them. They are considered to be the benchmark in color measurment equipment. Konica-Minolta also provides the color management technolgy for Eizo sreens, are the biggest player un industry and so...
Today we've got a parcel from Konica-Minolta, their new MYIRO-1. It is for the first time that Konica-Minolta enters this part of measuring devices. The goal seems to be clear, taking over at less a part of the business in entry level devices. Until now there was only Xrite to provide...
To get back to the initial post. It seems clear that HP's future in printing will be there: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/commercial-printers/pagewide-industrial/c500.html
Here in France the first of these beasts was installed last week. So, they will continue their progress with industrial...
@Ink stained Fingers By repairing the benefit might be X$, selling a new device the benefit will be XXX$. This might be a reason…
@mikling Canon don't do calibration, just readjustment of density to compense the wear off of the print head. This can be done very easy as you just need some few...
Mikling, I forgot to set a smiley. In France we use what we call "the 2nd degree" while talking.
Now without any 2nd degree.
They do the same way in Europe as far as I know. One of my partners is the lead tech at the biggest french retailer for professional digital printing devices. In respect...
