I've posted about this guy a few times, but wanted to make sure I had all the correct searchable words in the title so I could find it easy later :)
Teaching Tech is one of my FAVORITE channels for 3D printing:

I've been especially impressed with...
I'll bet you a beer you won't need any additional magnets! ;)
If you stick the magnet that comes with the kit to a properly clean / prepped bed, the metal flex-plat should grab on SUPER well to the magnet.
I look forward to hearing your experience!
Yup, I had the exact same problem with the same flex blue mag sheet.
From what I can tell, the "stick" between the steel plate and the mag sheet (that used 3M adhesive to stick to the bed) is way WAY stronger than the flex sheets. In fact, when I start laying the steel sheet down, once it gets...
I started my 3d Printing journey using blue painters tape on a bare metal bed.
I then converted to using gluestick on a cold glass bed: https://www.printerknowledge.com/threads/bed-adhesion-tricks-and-tips.12128/page-9#post-109242
This worked great for years. Biggest issue was getting really...
This kid's videos continue to surprise and impress me. She's better than 90% of the other youtubers out there. She clearly puts in a TON of prep, filming, and post-production / editing time and effort!
This is EXACTLY the video I've been wanting to see for potentially upgrading my CR-10 to a...
I've actually considered a dual-extruder a few times, but:
1: (similar to dual z screws) I don't have any issues that I'm trying to solve for that would justify doing the work / adding it.
2: I've heard too many mixed reviews and reactions about them to add one.
So, if I start having some...
LOL, you know how to speak to, and motivate my inner-geek!!! ;)
Sounds like a slippery slope, LOL!
So, this is a great comment that makes me wonder if I really "need" to go down any of these paths (octoprint, Klipper, etc.) since my printer is right next to my desk and seems to run (especially...
Octoprint is still something everyone seems to be suggesting, but I still haven't dabbled in it. I think I'm ready.
Problem is: Raspberry Pi boards are either unavailable or SUPER expensive (compared to where they used to be in price).
I'm still dinking around with the idea of converting an...
I wanted a light-color print and thought having glow in the dark would just be fun :)
I do see a lot of overhead LED light setups, but I don't care for them. I don't need the whole printer / surface lit, just the nozzle.
I wanted bigger than needed so I could turn them up and down as needed...
Well:

So, I removed the link. I'd usually span-remove the account as a whole, but this thread is interesting and I thought @The Hat &...
One of the first things I do on my Creality printers is to replace the OEM fan duct with a "fang" dual-chamber duct. Not only should this help with cooling the part more evenly / better, I mostly like that it gives me better visibility to the hotend.
I purchased / printed this duct...
I'm going to make this also my journal for JyersUI update.
First the videos that helped:
Software:
Creality (backup): https://www.creality.com/download
Jyers: https://github.com/jyers/marlin/releases/
After checking my board and CPU are compatible, I downloaded the files and went through...
As I had mentioned in my other thread, I've been excitedly wanting to update my control motherboard firmware from Creality's Malin to JyersUI.
I read it's important to know if you have the 4.2.2 or 4.2.7 motherboard.
Yesterday I was searching for info about these boards and stumbled on these...
I don't think I ever used the word "perfectly". ;) There's lots that can be incrementally improved... which has been awesome. Like the duct: The OEM one is working fine, but it's definitely not perfect.
I'm not changing the MB on the Ender. That's for the CR-10
If I get it wrong, then I either...
I continue to print TONS of bits for the Ender 3 V2 (I'll post a separate thread once I've done most of them).
One big one is this very popular fang duct:

Well reviewed here:
Oh, and a side-note: I've been getting...
I've been checking throughout the day and am not noticing any problems.
CPUs on the server for the past week looks good:
Any other users having performance problems?
I'll keep an eye on things :)
I've been hearing LOTS of great reviews on the silicone spacers to replace the springs. I had already ordered the yellow beefier springs and am pretty happy with them on my CR-10 and seem to do great on my Ender-3 (seems I never really need to level the bed after I get it dialed in).
I've been printing like MAD! LOL!
I'm really liking this printer!
... and of course all my tons of 1st prints are bits and bobs to update the printer itself :D

LED Bar: I'm no designer, but I'm fumbling with OnShape to try to make a bracket to hold the LED strip that will run off...
