I note from some of the other Printer Forums I visit that the "chattering participants" are commenting on new drivers for the Canon Pro-100.

One item mentioned is additional Media settings - including "Matte Paper N", or some thing like that!

Visiting the Canon USA website, I note several newer additions than my current driver. True to form Canon's information and documentation was anything but clear and concise.

In fact I would describe it as "incoherent", if I could spell the word.

Any views or information on the newer drivers from our resident guru's?

Attached is a pdf of my current printer settings.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Roy,

I would recommend you just ignore the new driver, that’s if you’re perfectly happy with the one you got right now, if it’s not broke then why bother fix it, it’s like chasing elusive butterflies.

I must say that I have never upgraded any of my Canon print drivers from the ones that I used for the original installations back when Adam was a boy; I found the grass is only greener on the other side till the darn cattle eat it all up.
My two cent worth from a different point of view.. :caf

I am going to side with @The Hat on this. IIRC, The Hat was burned on a Canon update that created more ink wastage than before the update. Unless something specific is fixed that was malfunctioning on you or there is new functionality you need, then do not update. Newer is not always better.
