Hi All,
Just wanted to inform about a new open source tool that is useful if you already own a physical calibration target, such as
As you probably know, the manufacturers of these targets don't want to supply a calibration target image with their physical targets, which is very anoying.
Luckily, now there is a small tool called "rectarg", a python script, that recreates calibration target images from .cht (chart layout) and .cie (reference data) files compatible with ArgyllCMS.
You can find the tool here:

Here is a preview image made with rectarg:

- Hutchcolor HCT
- LaserSoft DCPro Studio Target
- SpyderChecker

Applications
- Display calibration: Compare a display’s color calibration to the physical target.
- Printer calibration: Print a clean target image for visual or colorimetric comparison, or even for calibration/profiling with ArgyllCMS (f.ex. scan with scanin).
- Scanner profiling: Compare a scanned target against a reference image.
